NBA Picks - Golden State Warriors at Milwaukee Bucks

The Golden State Warriors have Stephen Curry back in the fold, and are hoping to start solidifying themselves atop the Western Conference standings. Injuries have taken their toll but this is still the team to beat in the NBA, and Golden State will aim to prove that in a major matchup this week against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Milwaukee has the second-best record in the Eastern Conference and is looking like a legitimate contender to make a deep playoff run. The Bucks have the best point-differential in the NBA at an average of 10.7 points margin of victory per game and that foretells some staying power.

The Bucks are at home but the Warriors cannot be taken lightly now that Curry is back from injury. This looks like it could be a phenomenal showdown. Don’t be surprised if the Bucks enter this one as the favorites in NBA gambling.

This NBA basketball game between the Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks will be held at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at 9:30 p.m ET on Friday, December 7th, 2018. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

Odds Analysis

The Warriors have a record of 16-9 on the year, which is below where most thought they would be and in the thick of a crowded Western Conference. Curry’s absence contributed to a recent lull but Golden State should be able to snap out of it and is still a heavy favorite to finish as the No. 1 seed in the conference. The Warriors are just 5-7 on the road this season.

The Bucks are 15-7 on the season. They have cooled off lately but are still a dominant 11-2 at home on the year. They have not been hit much by the injury bug and hope it remains that way. Both of these offenses are among the NBA’s best and this could be a shootout.

The nationally televised showdown has live betting capabilities which will allow gamblers to watch some of the game and then make some wagers during it depending on the flow in NBA gambling.

Injury Report

While Curry is back, the Warriors are still without Draymond Green, who is dealing with a toe sprain. Green has already been ruled out of Golden State’s road trip and he will be a key absent piece.

Green is averaging 6.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.2 assists on the season. Beyond the box score, he plays fantastic defense and is the soul of the team. The Warriors will miss his energy and in a game that could be close, it is a significant loss.

Previous Matchup

The Bucks got the better of Golden State in their first matchup, in a big way. Milwaukee took a 13-point lead at halftime and then dominated the third quarter to make it a blowout. The Bucks cruised to the 134-111 victory, led by Eric Bledsoe’s 26 points.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 24 points while adding nine rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Klay Thompson led the way for Golden State with 24 points but Curry and Kevin Durant both struggled in the contest. They will need to play better in this one.

The Warriors should shoot better this time around, and it’s not going to be a blowout. However, Milwaukee is playing excellent basketball in the earlygoing and has the home court advantage. This one is going to come down to the wire, and if the Warriors are underdogs, they could be the right choice on the spread.

However, the Bucks are the pick to beat the Warriors again in NBA wagering. The scoring total is going to be high but the “over” should still be a distinct possibility.
