The Washington Wizards are falling apart. The team has been a perennial playoff contender in the past several years but has started slowly and now there are reports of dissension in the ranks. The Wizards are reportedly willing to trade the star backcourt tandem of Bradley Beal and John Wall, so they are seemingly throwing in the towel on this group of players.
The Wizards are at home on Monday but have a tough matchup against the Houston Rockets. Houston stumbled out of the gate as well but has turned it up lately and is expected to be one of the top championship contenders by the time the playoffs roll around. The Rockets want to pick up wins like these so they can get as high of a seed as possible for the postseason.
Houston may be a slight road favorite in this one but it looks like it should be a pretty competitive matchup provided there is no more fallout in Washington after a week of drama in NBA wagering.
This NBA basketball game between the Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards will be held at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. at 7 p.m ET on Monday, November 26th, 2018. The game will be nationally televised on NBATV.

Odds Analysis
The Wizards have a record of 6-11 but have played a bit better of late with five wins in their past 10 games. Washington still has talent but when a team is together this long without getting over the hump sometimes chemistry concerns bubble up and that seems to be the case. The Wizards have gone 4-5 at home on the year.
The Rockets are 9-7 on the season but have found their footing after a slow start. The team dealt with some early suspensions and injuries but is beginning to hit on all cylinders. Houston had the best record in the NBA last year and while that may not happen this time around it is still a dangerous ballclub. The Rockets are 5-3 on the road in NBA gambling.
Player To Watch
Wall -- The former No. 1 overall pick is a perennial All-Star but has not turned into a transcendent player. Now there are trade rumors and talk that his teammates are unhappy with his personality. It is a trying time in Washington and it will be interesting to see how Wall handles it in this one.
He is averaging 21.5 points and 7.9 assists per game, which are pretty in line with his career averages. Wall needs to be able to block out all of the outside noise and play well in this one until there is a resolution with his situation, but it won’t be easy.
Key Stat
5. That’s the number of wins in a row for the Rockets as they seem to be finding their groove. Houston began this run with a win over the Pacers and it has followed that up with wins over the Nuggets, Warriors, Kings and Pistons.
The Rockets are only averaging 106 points per game so the offense is not yet clicking on all cylinders, but there has been improvement of late. It seemed like only a matter of time until Houston found its groove. The team’s experiment with Carmelo Anthony didn’t work and there seems to be better rhythm without him on the court.
Free NBA ATS Picks
The Wizards have been discombobulated but they still have enough talent to pick up some wins. The betting public might be against Washington because of the turmoil and it’s a good time to pick them. Washington is at home and should play well enough to pull the upset in NBA gambling.
The Rockets’ hot streak will come to an end in this one.
NBA ATS Pick: Washington Wizards 109, Houston Rockets 106
