The Boston Celtics were happy to integrate Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward back into the lineup after last year’s injuries, but it took a little time early on to work out the kinks. The Celtics are playing well now as they take a four-game winning streak into a matchup against the Indiana Pacers.
Boston is the favorite to win the Eastern Conference now that LeBron James has moved west, while the Pacers hope to be one of the main contenders. The season is still early but Indiana could make a statement by picking up a home win over the Celtics in this one.
This spread should be small as Boston has the talent advantage but has to play on the road, so prepare for a competitive showdown in NBA gambling.

Odds Analysis
The Celtics are 6-2 on the season. They have played well on the road, with victories in three of four games thus far. They have won three straight away from home and their only road loss of the season came to the talented Raptors.
The Pacers are 5-3 on the season. They have won two of their three games at home this season, defeating the Grizzlies and Nets while falling to the Trail Blazers.
The NBA is in the midst of a scoring explosion this season but both of these teams have solid defenses. This one should be one of the tamer scoring outputs of the night in NBA gambling.
Injury Report
The Celtics could be without talented young guard Jaylen Brown in this one. He missed the team’s most recent game, an impressive win over the Bucks, due to a foot injury. Brown is one of the team’s key players. He is averaging 10.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. He is only shooting 36 percent from the field this season but it has been a small sample size and that number should improve.
While the Celtics would like to have Brown, they have great depth to handle injuries. Irving, Hayward, Al Horford and Jayson Tatum should be able to more than pick up the slack if Brown is unavailable. Keep an eye on his status to have the full health picture heading into this showdown.
Key Stat
30. That’s the number of points Pacers forward Domantas Sabonis scored last time out, which was a career high. The young forward doesn’t start for Indiana but he is second on the team in scoring at 14.4 points per game and adds 9.6 rebounds. He has been very efficient in about 22 minutes per game this season and figures to see his role increase as long as he keeps producing.
Victor Oladipo is the go-to player for Indiana but Sabonis has been a key second banana. The Celtics will need to keep a close eye on both of them in this matchup.
Free NBA ATS Picks
The Celtics may be more talented but Indiana has looked solid thus far and will no doubt get a boost from a home crowd which should be vocal in this one. The Pacers are aiming to show they are among the top teams in the East and knocking off Boston would be a step in that direction.
The Celtics are playing well but look for their winning streak to get extinguished here. The Pacers are the choice to win this game, and they should cover the spread as it will likely be a small one either for them or Boston in NBA odds.
NBA ATS Pick: Indiana Pacers 106, Boston Celtics 100
