NBA Props - Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors

There is trouble in paradise. The Golden State Warriors have lost three straight games amid some high-profile tension between stars Kevin Durant and Draymond Green. The Warriors are no longer atop the Western Conference and will try to put the argument and the losing behind them this week in a matchup against the Oklahoma CIty Thunder.

Durant famously beefed with Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook so maybe the vitriol can be directed toward him in this one. There are a lot of interesting subplots for this game, and it’s a crucial one for Golden State to get back on track.

There is a lot of talk about Durant leaving in free agency after this season. If it happens, all involved certainly want to win another championship before he does so in NBA betting.

This NBA basketball game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors will be held at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California at 10:30 p.m ET on Wednesday, November 21st, 2018. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

Odds Analysis

Oklahoma City started the year slowly but is now 10-5 on the season. The Thunder has won nine of its past 10 games and will aim to continue that surge in this one despite being a sizable underdog. Oklahoma City is 4-3 on the road this year.

The Warriors are down to 12-6 overall but have still been nearly unbeatable at home with an 8-1 mark. Golden State has gone just 5-5 on its past 10 games after a dominant start. This game should be high-scoring, as most Warriors games are in NBA gambling.

Injury Report

Golden State star point guard Stephen Curry is dealing with a groin strain that should keep him out of this game. He has missed the past six games and it’s a huge absence. Curry is having a fantastic season, averaging 29.5 points, 6.1 assists and 5.0 rebounds per contest. He is shooting 51.5 percent from the field and an unreal 49.2 percent from downtown.

Green didn’t play last time out in a loss to the Spurs. His injury situation is one to monitor closely as the defensive-minded power forward does a lot of underrated things to help Golden State succeed.

Thunder star Westbrook has missed the past several games, first with a sprained ankle and more recently to be there for the birth of his twin children. Westbrook seems on track to play in this one, and keep an eye on his availability because it will have a huge effect on the spread and moneyline.

Player To Watch

Durant -- Many will be seeing how the power forward handles the recent drama with Green. Additionally, without Curry on the court it is important for Durant to dominate in order for the Warriors to win this one. He is averaging 27.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game on the season, but is liable to go for 40 in this one.

Durant’s mental toughness has been questioned in the past and he will look to come up with a big game to quiet the naysayers in this one.

Free NBA ATS Picks

The Warriors are reeling a bit and aren’t nearly as dominant without Curry on the court. Look for Oklahoma City to hang close and cover the spread, but the Warriors will make enough big shots at home down the stretch to sneak away with the win in NBA betting lines. The “under” is the right call as Golden State is not quite the same offensive juggernaut as it is when in full health.
