The top teams from each conference hit the hardwood on Sunday in a seven-game slate of NBA betting action. Winners of two straight and eight of their last 10, the Milwaukee Bucks have climbed to the top of the overall standings. With just a 10-7 road record, the Bucks aim to improve on that when they conclude a three-game roadie against the Atlanta Hawks. They opened the trip with a win over Houston, improving to 7-1 straight up and against the spread in their last eight games. The Bucks are the most profitable team in the Association with a 23-15-2 ATS record.
Just percentage points behind the Bucks, the Toronto Raptors have amassed the most victories in the league and visit the Washington Wizards for a matinee contest. The Sixers are close behind in the East and they take on the Knicks. The West leading Nuggets finish off a weekend back-to-back and play their third game in four nights when they entertain Portland. Close behind are the defending champion Warriors, who visit Dallas.

Sunday Best Bets
Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets
What a way to spend a weekend. The Nuggets play on both days finishing a stretch of three games in four nights by hosting the Blazers. Playing on consecutive days hasn’t harmed Denver this season as they’ve gone 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in the second of back-to-back games. The Nuggets lost outright to Atlanta and failed to cover the line against Phoenix in two of their last three such games, so maybe the long haul is catching up with them.
And they haven’t faced a team as talented as the Blazers, who take to the road for the first time since New Year’s Day. I like the Nuggets and Nikola Jokic should be a candidate for the league’s MVP, but that’s a lot of basketball with travel and the Blazers are no push over. The best bet is to take Portland on the NBA betting line.
Philadelphia 76ers at New York Knicks
A look at the standings and stats and the winner of this one is a no-brainer. The Sixers are fighting for a top seed in the East and have some of the best talent in the game. Meanwhile, it’s another lost season for the Knicks as they continue their rebuild that’s going on year 31, or so it seems.
As good as the Sixers have been, they’ve struggled on the road with a losing record of 9-12 following a blowout in our nation’s capital. And Jimmy Butler questioning Brett Brown over his role with the team is what fractures a club. That may not happen in Philly, but it is a distraction nonetheless. And the Knicks have to win at some point, don’t they? They’ve dropped 15 of 17 and lost each of their first two matchups with the Sixers by more than 20 points. They get Philly at home for the first time and while they probably won’t win the game, taking the Knickerbockers and the points is the best bet.
Golden State Warriors at Dallas Mavericks
The Mavs have half the equation figured out. Now if they can only win some games on the road they would be closer to the top-eight in the West rather than tied for the second-worst record in the conference. Their home and road splits are outrageous winning 80 percent of their games at the American Airlines Center as opposed to just 14.3 percent away from it. Good thing the Mavs get this one in their barn where they’ve already knocked off the Warriors.
The defending champs are the most vulnerable they’ve been in the Steve Kerr era and at times they look like an average team, especially on the road where they are just 11-8 SU and 8-11 ATS. And with a game against the conference leading Nuggets next up, we could see the Dubs take a peek away from Sunday, giving the Mavs what they need to pull off another upset.
