It was the battle of the Luke’s in Episode 4 of the Season 15 of the Bachelorette. It was just a few weeks ago that it seemed like Luke P. was a sure thing to win Season 15, but after Episode 4 it now appears that Luke P. could be in trouble. It now looks like Tyler C. and Jed are the top two contenders to win Season 15, while Luke P and Peter W. are the darkhorses. Let’s recap Episode 4 of the Bachelorette and analyze the odds.
Episode 4 Recap
The gloves came off in Episode 4 as the two Lukes took up almost all of the show. The show began with everyone heading to Newport, Rhode Island and Jed gets the first date in Boston. Jed seems to have a real chemistry with Hannah and both felt it. "I like being around you," Hannah said to Jed and he says that "I love being around you. Jed and Hannah end up at Boston Celtics practice and they end up playing with guards Terry Rozier and Jaylen Brown. Jed opens up to Hannah and shares some feelings and she responds in kind. "I’m starting to feel like I’m falling for you more and more," Jed said. Hannah says later that "I am more excited than I’ve been in a long time over a first date."
The battle of the Lukes begins when Hannah invites the men to a rugby game. This was a bad idea from the start, as rugby is a physical sport and there was no doubt that hard feelings were going to occur. Kevin hurts his shoulder early and is out and then we see Luke P. pick up Luke S. and throw him to the ground. Hannah tries to get the story of what happened and talks to Luke P. first. He said that Luke S. swung at him. Luke P. starts to trash talk about Luke S. and Luke P. then says he will never lie to Hannah. The other side of the story is that Luke S. said that he passed the ball to Luke P. and then got hit hard and told Luke P. as much. Luke S. tells Hannah that many of the other men are frustrated with Luke P. and he also told her that Luke P. thought about leaving the show. It gets very testy later when Luke S. tells Luke P. that everyone thinks he is nuts and that he never wants to see Luke P. in his life ever again. The winner of the day ends up being Garrett who avoided the Luke drama entirely and won a few points with Hannah.
Hannah has a one-on-one date with Tyler C the next day and she is struggling with her feelings for Luke P. and wondering about him. Tyler steps in and comforts Hannah and they go on a lobster date. Tyler opens up to Hannah and tells about how his dad nearly died and that he is ready to give himself to someone else. Hannah responds well and Tyler gets the rose. They go to see country singer Jake Owen and Tyler said that Hannah could be the one. Tyler has firmly established himself as one of the top contenders to win Season 15.
The drama with Luke P. continues in the show as Mike confronts him and tells him that the reason Hannah is not happy is his fault. Luke S. apologizes to Hannah for what has happened, but Luke P. just seems to manipulate the situation. Hannah wants the two Lukes to talk to each other and that is how Episode 4 ends.
