In just two months, the most talked about television show will be back on the air for its eighth and final season. There are just six more episodes left in the Game of Thrones saga, and tens of millions of people will be tuning into the final half-dozen shows. HBO has given the loved series a proper sending off with each episode in the eighth season rumored to cost $10 million or more, and everyone is asking the question. Who will sit on the Iron Throne at the conclusion of the series?

The favorite to be the ruler of Westeros at the end of this season is an unlikely choice. One of the first times we saw Bran Stark, he was being pushed out of a castle tower window by Jamie Lannister in Winterfell. The fall left him paralyzed from the waist down, but it helped him realize his true destiny as the Three-Eyed Raven. Over the last five seasons, we have seen him slowly develop his warg and greenseer abilities to become the new Three-Eyed Raven.
Given his status as the Three-Eyed Raven, it seems unlikely that he would ever rule. However, he is the oldest trueborn son of Ned Stark still alive, and that has led many to speculate that he will ascend the Iron Throne. There may be some inside information at play here too. Bran was originally something of a longshot to rule when the odds were released in early 2018, but a number of big bets fired off in quick succession caused sportsbooks to temporarily suspend action on the market. He went all the way down to +125 at one point before slowly rising once again.
If Game of Thrones was a traditional show, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen would be heavy favorites to rule Westeros at the end of this season. Those two characters are both more traditional heroes, and they have now joined forces. The revelation that the R+L=J theory turned out to be correct means that Jon Snow has Targaryen blood in him, and he and Daenerys have begun to get intimate.
Jon and Daenerys are two characters that seem to be unkillable. In a story that has taught us time and time again that mistakes lead to death and that anyone can die, these two have continued to survive despite being repeatedly placed in precarious situations. Their stories are the most central to the overall plot, and it seems very likely that one or both of these two will rule at the end of the eighth season.
The next name on this list is a peculiar one. The Night King is the primary antagonist of the series, and his White Walkers are the real enemy in Westeros. It’s interesting that a villain has been installed as the fourth favorite to rule at the end of the series, but this is Game of Thrones. George R.R. Martin and the showrunners might decide to have the series end on a sour note, though it seems unlikely.

You can argue that in a show where horrible things are commonplace, no one has experienced quite as much as Sansa.
You can also argue that no character has evolved more over seven seasons than Sansa either. She has shown herself to be shrewd and calculating, and she is the oldest surviving child of Ned and Catelyn Stark. Sansa is worth a few quid at these odds.
