There are a number of great props on the board for this week’s Masters including whether or not there will be a playoff. It seems we have had a playoff nearly every week on the PGA Tour this season, so why not the Masters? If you think there will be a playoff you can get +300 on that prop. There are also other props to consider including whether or not there will be a hole in one, the winning score and whether or not the winning player will be from the USA or not. Let’s look at Masters props odds and Masters picks.

Masters Prop Picks
I think there is a lot of value in taking the Yes on whether there will be a playoff at odds of +300. There has been a playoff seemingly every week this season on the PGA Tour and if you look at the Masters odds, there are 14 players listed with odds of 25-1 or less. There is just not much separating the world’s best players and at +300, I will take a shot at a playoff deciding this year’s Masters.
I will also take the plus money on the No in a player making a hole-in-one this year at Augusta. I know that Matt Kuchar made an ace last year and in 2016 there were three players who pulled off the feat, but historically, the odds are still against a hole-in-one in the Masters. There have been a total of 28 aces in the 81-year history of the Masters. The par-3 16th hole is really the only hole that can realistically see an ace, as the fourth hole has seen just one and that was in 1992 and the 12th hole has seen only three, the last in 1988. I know it is popular to play the Yes on the hole-in-one and it is definitely more exciting, but I think there is more value going against the ace, so I am going with the No at plus money in this Masters prop.
The winning score is another prop I think has some value in Masters props. The winning score for the 2018 Masters is listed at 11-under par. In five of the last six Masters, the winning score has been 10-under par or less. The weather forecast for this year’s Masters is not that great, as rain and wind could be a factor over the weekend. I think there is some value in taking the winning score to be 10-under par or worse at odds of -105.
The last Masters prop pick I am taking is whether or not the winner will be from the USA or not. The Yes is currently listed at -140. If we just look at the top contenders we will find that the value is on the Yes on this prop. Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler and Phil Mickelson are all from the United States. The only players among the favorites not from the U.S. are Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Jason Day. Looking strictly at the odds, we get seven of the top ten contenders from the United States. I think this is one of the best values on the board at -140, so I am taking the Yes on this Masters prop.
