Golfers will look to avoid a Masters hangover this week in the RBC Heritage where Dustin Johnson leads the field. Johnson is still ranked No. 1 in the world but he has not played nearly as well in the last couple of months as he did early in the year. We are coming off a tough week with last week’s picks at the Masters so we’ll look to bounce back in a big way. Let’s look at the odds and picks for this week’s RBC Heritage.

RBC Heritage Matchup Picks
Before we get to the picks there are a few things to consider. Harbour Town is a course that is all about approach shots, as it is a par 71 that measures 7,099 yards. The fairways are tight, so accuracy and scrambling are more important than distance off the tee. The greens at Harbour Town are the smallest on the PGA Tour, so golfer who can scramble usually do well.
Matt Kuchar +180 vs. Dustin Johnson
This is a great price on Kuchar who has the perfect game to win at Harbour Town. He has five top 10 finishes in this event including a win in 2014. He goes against Johnson who won’t be able to use his driver on a number of holes. I think Kuchar is the clear choice in this matchup and we get him at nearly 2-1.
Brian Harman -115 vs. Adam Hadwin
I like Harman as one of my top choices to win this week. He finished in the top 10 in this event in 2014 and last year. He has been looking forward to this event and I expect him to be in the mix on Sunday. I like Hadwin, but Harman is a better player and this is a short price.
Patton Kizzire -115 vs. Charl Schwartzel
Why is Schwartzel playing in this event? He would be far better off playing in Spain this week. Kizzire is simply the better player between the two at this point in their careers, as Kizzire is on the way up, while Schwartzel is on the way down. I will take Kizzire in this matchup.
Ryan Palmer -120 vs. Rory Sabbatini
Palmer was a disappointment last week in the Masters but I expect a bounce back week from him at Harbour Town. Sabbatini hasn’t contended for a win in a long time and I can’t see him being a contender this week. I will take Palmer in this matchup.
