The Masters Golf Odds - Bet on PGA Tour

The Masters Golf Odds

There are a number of storylines as the PGA Tour heads to Augusta National this week for the first major of the season. Though barred from regular Tour events, LIV golfers are eligible with 18 set to peg it up at the 87th Masters. Cameron Smith and Dustin Johnson are the favorites among players from the rival league. In search of the career grand slam, last year’s runner-up Rory McIlroy tops the odds board ahead of defending champ Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm with the trio having odds shorter than 10/1. And don’t forget about five-time champ Tiger Woods, who is ready to make his second start of the season after playing the weekend at the Genesis. The majors bring out the best golfers in the world so there won’t be a shortage of top contenders to wager on. Visit BookMaker.eu for a complete list of betting odds for the 2023 Masters when you’re ready to place a wager.

Odds Analysis

Corey Conners +4050

It’s been a good season for Conners punctuated by last week’s win at the Texas Open. I typically don’t back a player coming off a victory but Conners is the exception this week. Not only is he playing well on the lead in with seven top 25s in 11 starts, he’s also played well at Augusta with three top 10s in his last three starts, one of only two players to accomplish that. His game is well suited for the layout with his putting on display in San Antonio.

Jason Day +3034

The winless drought for Day continues though he appears to be getting close to ending it. The Aussie hasn’t won on Tour since claiming two titles during the 2017-18 campaign so you could say he’s due. He finished among the top 20 in all seven 2023 starts with five of those putting him among the top 10. He also has some business to take care of at Augusta after failing to qualify and two MCs the last three editions. Prior to that, though, Day was splendid with two top 5s among his seven straight top 30s.

Brooks Koepka +3605

There’s a prop bet listed for any LIV golfer winning the 2023 Masters. If anyone is going to make YES a winner there’s a good chance Koepka is the guy. He became the first two-time winner in LIV taking last week’s title in Orlando with rounds of 65-65-68. And he definitely has a history in majors with four titles, though none at Augusta. He does, however, have a pair of top 10s including a runner-up in 2019.

Xander Schauffele +2577

The best golfer to never win a major might just be Schauffele, though Patrick Cantlay will put up a fight for the title. The X-man has come close a number of times with two podium finishes in five starts at Augusta. Despite a MC here last year, Schauffele has thrived in majors with six top-5s among his nine top-10s. I’ve been saying that Schauffele is going to win a major sooner rather than later, but it’s starting to get later. I still have faith and will happily back hit at this price.

Jordan Spieth +2010

Spieth has been right there pretty much all season with three top 6s among his four top 20s over the last five stroke play events. Being consistent in every phase of the game is what gets it done at Augusta and Spieth has consistency bottled. A MC last year isn’t enough to dissuade me after seeing what the Texan accomplished in previous years. He had five podium finishes in his previous eight Masters starts making the cut each time. I expect to see his ‘A’ game this week.

Course: Augusta National Golf Club – 7,545 yards, Par 72

Augusta National Golf Club had a big change ahead of this year’s Masters with the par 5 13th hole lengthened by 35 yards. The average score last year on the hole was 4.83 making it one of the easiest on the layout. Now, golfers will be challenged even more. The additional yardage makes this year’s playing the longest in the tournament’s history, though the par 5s continue to offer some relief. Distance off the tee is nice, but most consider Augusta a second shot track with undulating greens destroying poor iron shots. More than half the field will make it to the weekend with the low 50 plus ties advancing.
