The 2024 NCAA Men’s Hockey Tournament has come down to its Frozen Four. Semifinal games will be played on Thursday, April 11, with the championship game scheduled for Saturday, April 13. Four of the most storied programs in the sport will compete for the national championship. The Frozen Four is set for Thursday, April 6 with Minnesota favored against Boston University and Michigan favored against Quinnipiac. The Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs are one of the most successful college hockey programs in the country and are the defending national champions that are in their third consecutive Frozen Four appearance. Head coach Scott Sandelin has served in that capacity at Minnesota Duluth since 2000 and has created a beast that now requires constant feeding. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have been on a hire wire act for the past month in which fans have needed their cardiologist nearby due to the breathtaking action and thrilling end of game wins that have put them in the national championship match. The Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs have also had their share of nail biters winning three consecutive games by one goal en route to a shot at the national title against Notre Dame. For Notre Dame a win against Minnesota Duluth would mean their first ever men’s hockey national championship.... 

The chalk held firm all throughout the postseason and now we will see the two top seeds in college hockey square off on Saturday night. The Denver Pioneers were the overall No. 1 seed and have dominated opponents through the NCAA hockey tournament, but the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs keep finding ways to win and have beaten Denver before. Notre Dame has only been to the championship game once in the school’s history, but has continually been one of the better programs in the country, especially recently. The Harvard Crimson are looking for their first NCAA Hockey Title in almost 30 years. The Crimson last won college hockey’s biggest prize back in 1989 and have been looking to match the feat ever since. They will finally get another chance this season, but first must defeat the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs. UMD last won the title six seasons ago, with a thrilling overtime victory over Michigan in St. Paul. Of the four teams left, they are the most recent champion and will have the biggest target on their backs.... 

As college sports fans, it isn't often that we get the exact matchup we wanted in the National Championship Game. In the case of the Frozen Four though, we've clearly gotten the best matchup possible. The No. 1 overall seed in the tournament, the Quinnipiac Bobcats will face off with the No. 3 overall seed, the North Dakota Fighting Hawks in what will be one of the most highly-anticipated hockey National Championship Games in recent memory.... 

For just the second time in their history, the Quinnipiac Bobcats have made it to the Frozen Four. Quinnipiac doesn't have the greatest history in college hockey, but it has been coming on strong in recent years. The Bobcats yearn for the day they can be as notable as the team they're facing on Thursday, the Boston College Eagles, who have made the Frozen Four a dozen times since 1998 and have won four titles in that span.... 

Division rivals make for the best foes in the Frozen Four, and though it isn't typical for the NCHC to be represented twice in the national semifinals, that's what we're faced with this Thursday. In the second game of the night in Tampa, the North Dakota Fighting Sioux will look to reach the National Championship Game at the expense of their hated rivals, the Denver Pioneers....
