In particular Barrie will be expected to shore up a lackluster defensive unit that ranked 20th in the NHL for goals against. Toronto is a very good but not great team that has failed to show the ability to shut down a team facing playoff elimination.

The Vegas Golden Knights may be the biggest overlay on the NHL futures board. Vegas finished 46-34-7-2 last year and ranked 13th for goal scoring, 25th for the power play, 10th for goals against and 14th for the penalty kill. When they had the chance to kill off San Jose in the playoffs, they blew their 3-1 series lead.
