There are no NHL games on Friday, April 7, due to Good Friday, and that means every team in the league will be in action on Saturday, April 8. Hockey fans will have plenty to celebrate as there are 16 games over 12+ hours, and three of those games will be nationally televised. Both conferences have seen six teams clinch playoff spots, and the Eastern Conference has six teams still alive for the last two playoff berths, while the Western Conference is down to just four teams looking for the final two places.

NHL Parlay Picks for Saturday, April 8, 2023
Nashville Predators at Winnipeg Jets
Chicago Blackhawks at Seattle Kraken
Perhaps the most important game left in the regular season will take place on Saturday evening when the Winnipeg Jets welcome the Nashville Predators to the Great White North. These are two of the four teams fighting for the last two playoff spots in the Western Conference, and the result of this game has a good chance of determining who will earn the last postseason berth. Seattle will almost certainly grab one of the two spots barring a major collapse as the Kraken have 94 points with five games to play, while Winnipeg is sitting on 89 points, and the next closest team (Calgary) is two points behind the Jets.
Nashville has 86 points with five games left on the schedule, and it will be very difficult for the Predators to make the postseason. They don’t have an easy game remaining, as they will host Carolina before a two-game road trip to Winnipeg and Calgary before closing out the season at home against Minnesota and Colorado. Winnipeg has one of the best home records in the league, and the Jets are in the middle of a five-game homestand. They crushed the Detroit Red Wings and the New Jersey Devils in their first two games, and they will have two nights off before playing Nashville at home.
As for Seattle, the Kraken should be able to lock up a postseason spot by Monday at the latest. They get to host Arizona on Thursday night and Chicago on Saturday night before facing the Coyotes on the road on Monday. The Kraken will be extremely motivated to take care of business in their home finale on Saturday against the Blackhawks, while Chicago is clearly ready for the offseason.
The Blackhawks stunned the Calgary Flames as a +400 underdog by the NHL betting odds on Tuesday night, but they had lost eight straight games before that victory. Calgary outshot Chicago 36 to 23, but the Blackhawks took advantage of their chances with Andreas Athanasiou scoring two goals for the visitors. That was likely the last hurrah for Chicago this season since many of the best players have been traded away or shut down, so it should be safe to back the Kraken on Saturday night.
