All but two NHL teams will be in action this Saturday as we are nearing the end of the regular season. Every team except the Nashville Predators has 20 games or less left to play, and that has led to the playoff picture taking shape. The Western Conference looks pretty clearcut at the moment, but Nashville and Calgary are both hoping to sneak their way into the postseason. The Eastern Conference race is a little more cluttered as the Pittsburgh Penguins currently are in line to claim the last spot in the postseason, but there are five teams within six points of the five-time Stanley Cup champions.

NHL Parlay Picks for Saturday, March 11, 2023
Chicago Blackhawks at Tampa Bay Lightning -1.5
Washington Capitals at New York Islanders ML
This is a get-right game for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa Bay had not lost more than two games in a row at any point this season prior to its recent five-game losing streak. The Lightning finally put a halt to that on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Flyers to kick off a four-game homestand. They are now favored by the NHL betting odds against Vegas on Thursday night and Chicago on Saturday night.
The Lightning have been superb at home all season. Tampa Bay is 23-5-4 playing on the Gulf Coast of the Sunshine State, and they have a veteran core that has been to the Stanley Cup three straight times. They will have a 100-point player in Nikita Kucherov barring injury, and both Brayden Point and Steven Stamkos are currently averaging over a point a game. Additionally, they have an elite goaltender in Andrei Vasilevskiy who typically rises to the occasion over the course of a season.
Meanwhile, Chicago is in disarray. The Blackhawks currently have the worst record in the Western Conference, and they just traded Max Domi and Patrick Kane. Jonathan Toews and Andreas Englund are both out, so the only player on this team with more than 30 points currently is defenseman Seth Jones.
The New York Islanders are going to be a tough out in the playoffs after trading for Bo Horvat. He is the kind of gritty two-way player that excels in the postseason, and this is a great team for him. Horvat only has eight points in 14 games with the Isles so far, but that will change soon.
Washington has been in a freefall ever since Alex Ovechkin left the team for more than a week to go back to Russia for his father’s funeral. The Capitals are now in sixth place in the Metropolitan Division, and they might miss out on the playoffs for just the second time since the 2006-07 season. New goaltender Darcy Kuemper has struggled too after a solid season with Colorado last year.
