After losing both of my NHL Parlay Picks last Thursday, I had an easy NHL Parlay win on Saturday. I backed the New Jersey Devils on the moneyline and the Edmonton Oilers on the puck line, and both teams cruised to victories over outmatched foes. The New Jersey Devils went on the road and beat the Chicago Blackhawks 6-3, and they outshot their opponents 40 to 17. Meanwhile, Edmonton hammered the flightless Anaheim Ducks 6-0 as Leon Draisaitl notched a hat trick in order to get to 50 goals on the season.
There is nearly a full slate of games to choose from this Thursday as 28 teams are in action. The regular season will come to an end the following Friday, so this is the last hurrah for teams looking to make the postseason. As of Tuesday morning, 11 of the 16 playoff spots have been taken, and nine teams have been eliminated from playoff contention.

NHL Parlay Picks for Thursday, April 6, 2023
Toronto Maple Leafs at Boston Bruins
Philadelphia Flyers at Dallas Stars
I’ve mostly gone with the flow in recent weeks and bet against teams with nothing to play for at this point of the season, but I’m going to make an exception because there will be significant value when it comes to backing the Toronto Maple Leafs in Beantown on Thursday night. The Boston Bruins are trying to become the greatest regular season team in NHL history, and they have already locked up the Presidents’ Trophy with a record of 60-12-5. Boston needs two more wins to tie the all-time record for wins in a single season, and this team has won 10 of its last 11 games.
However, there are signs of slippage with the Bruins at this point. They haven’t had a big win in over two weeks, and three of their last four wins came after regulation. The lone exception to that was a 4-3 win over Pittsburgh where David Pastrnak scored with a little more than two minutes left in regulation to avert overtime.
Toronto is arguably the second-best team in the NHL, and the Maple Leafs will have star Mitch Marner back after a much-deserved rest over the weekend. They are a serious threat to the Bruins in the postseason, and they can lay down the gauntlet on Thursday night.
In the second game of this parlay, I will go back to the well and back the Dallas Stars at home against the Philadelphia Flyers. People continue to discount Dallas in the Central Division race, but the Stars have the best goal differential in the Western Conference. They shouldn’t have much trouble against a Philadelphia team that has lost three straight games, as the Flyers just shut down Couturier and will probably shut down starting goaltender Carter Hart too since Hart has missed the last week.
