The Heavyweight Money Fight
Brock Lesnar +273 vs. Daniel Cormier -337

These odds are currently available in the future events section, as it’s a matchup that’s been teased for a while now. We know that hardcore MMA fans would rather see DC face off against a legitimate contender, but the mystique of Brock Lesnar is just too compelling to resist. There’s just something about seeing the huge, massively muscled WWE star in the octagon that’s larger than life.
Let’s be real: DC probably schools Lesnar in the octagon. But you take one look at the two and can’t help but wonder what would happen if Brock landed one of his lunchpail fists upside the champ’s head. And if that doesn’t happen, it’d still be crazy to see the 5’11” Cormier try and take down the 6’3” Lesnar. To the untrained eye, it doesn’t look like it’d be physically possible.
McGregor’s Followup
Conor McGregor -170 vs. Nate Diaz 135
Conor McGregor -185 vs. Dustin Poirier +150
Which Way Does McGregor Go?
McGregor’s in a really weird spot. He’s still a massive star, but he just got spanked by Khabib Nurmagomedov in a title fight. Despite his popularity, nobody is immune to losing - not only does it hurt your drawing power, but also your legacy. The Irishman has to choose his next opponent very, very carefully. It’s got to be somebody that matters, and it needs to be winnable fight.
The most obvious choice is Nate Diaz in a trilogy match. That would make the most money, and Conor has already proven that he can hang with the Stockton fighter and gut out a win. The other route is a rematch with Dustin Poirier, who he pieced up and finished quickly a few years ago in a featherweight match. But Poirier’s bounced back nicely as a lightweight, clawing his way into the top 5. We see McGregor as a clear favorite in both cases. He’s just so money against other strikers.
What a Lightweight Champ to Do?
Khabib Nurmagomedov -200 vs. Tony Ferguson +170
Bet this fight at BookMaker.eu
We’re using the odds from their last scheduled matchup - which was the fourth time that they were supposed to meet. Yes, this fight is cursed. But the UFC owes it to use to try and book it at least once a year until they actually throw down. They need to do it now, while Khabib is still undefeated and Ferguson on a ridiculous winning streak.
Given just how thoroughly Khabib thrashed McGregor, he’d probably be an even bigger favorite this time around. Some of that star power probably rubbed off on the Russian, and casual bettors are likely to bet on the names they know. Plus, nobody has been able to stop his takedowns yet, and Ferguson just happens to be vulnerable in that area.
It’s Holloway’s Time
Projected Odds: Max Holloway +110 vs. Tony Ferguson -110
Don’t Blink
Max Holloway has got it all: skills, toughness and charisma. The UFC needs to put the marketing dollars behind this kid right now, because he could easily be a superstar. The best part about him is that no matter who he fights, you know it’s going to be a can’t-miss scrap. He just might be the most exciting fighter in the UFC.
If you want a fight for the ages, throw him inside a cage with Tony Ferguson. These two are mirror images of each other when it comes to cardio, pace, toughness and general savagery. It’d be like watching two Tazmanian devils go at it for 25 minutes, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see actual whirlwinds forming inside the octagon if they threw down.
Just because Tony’s been fighting at a higher weight class, he gets the slight nod as a favorite, but Holloway is a huge featherweight that could benefit from getting 10 extra pounds.
