UFC 245 Odds - Amanda Nunes vs. Germaine de Randamie Predictions

Women’s double champ Amanda Nunes (18-4, 13 KOs, 3 SUBs) will defend the bantamweight title against Germaine de Randamie (9-3, 4 KOs) at UFC 245 on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card airs live on pay-per-view starting 10pm ET.

The women’s GOAT is back in action this Saturday. Yes, at this point, it’s difficult to argue against Brazil’s Amanda Nunes holding that moniker - she currently holds the bantam and featherweight titles to back that claim.

Currently on a 10-fight win streak that includes wins over flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko (twice), Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg, “Lioness” will defend the 135-pound strap against kickboxer Germaine de Randamie on the main card of an absolutely loaded UFC 245.

As the No. 1 contender, De Randamie is legitimately the biggest threat to Nunes’ reign - as long as Shevchenko stays at 125 pounds. The 35-year old rides a five-fight winning streak into the matchup, most notably beating Holly Holm to claim the vacant 145-pound title. She later relinquished the belt after refusing to face Cyborg - a move that drew the ire of many fans - but has since stabilized her place at bantamweight. Most recently, she needed just 16 seconds to finish the previously undefeated Aspen Ladd this past July.

The UFC odds at BookMaker.eu opened with Amanda Nunes as a big favorite, which isn’t surprising considering how dominant she’s been lately. The 10-fight winning streak is certainly impressive, but what’s really eye-opening is that she’s finished everyone not named Valentina with utter authority. Of course, there are a range of bets to consider in this title match, so let’s break down the best betting values. UFC Odds Pick: De Randamie to win at +255

We’re not saying that we think that GDR is going to win, only that this is an excellent value on a live ‘dog. Nunes is the most explosive women’s striker in MMA - one of the few with true knockout power in both her feet and fists. On top of that, she’s a true BJJ black belt with a lethal submission game.

So why do we like GDR’s price? It’s because the Dutchwoman has the right skillset to pull off a major upset here. Similar to Shevchenko, she’s an elite kickboxer with the defense, patience and technique to turn this into a much closer fight than the odds suggest. She has the athleticism and takedown defense to keep this on the feet and fight Nunes at her strength.

UFC Odds Pick: Fight goes to decision +220

If you’re hesitant about picking a winner, we also like the odds that this fight goes to decision. This might be counterintuitive considering how Nunes has been blasting through her opponents, but we’re going to point to GDR’s kickboxing skillset as the main reason that she should be able to make it to the scorecards. We have a feeling that there will be long periods of probing here, which should eat up clock as well.
