Xiaonan said this to ufc.com about her upcoming fight against Weili, “I think my skill set is fast, in-and-out. My striking will give me some advantage. Zhang Weili is a more completed fighter. She has good striking, good wrestling, and good jiu-jitsu. She is better-rounded. I was really happy when I found out that I can be on the UFC 300 card. This is a very important moment in my life. It's an opportunity I've worked so hard for in MMA. I'm fighting for a title at a big event like UFC 300. It's a big moment for me. I'm often on the underdog side. I think everything is a challenge. I need to be ready.”

UFC Picks
Weili is among the best women to ever fight in the UFC, as she is 8-2 in the UFC and the current strawweight champion. Xiaonan has been good, but it is questionable as to whether she is at the same level of Weili. Xiaonan lost to Carla Esparaza who Weili beat. How much credit we give Xaionan last time out for her win against the overrated Jessica Andrade is also questionable.
I think Weili wins this fight but the price at more than 4-1 in UFC odds makes this a no play for me in terms of the regular odds. I don’t see any value in taking Xiaonan, as I just can’t see a path for her to win this fight. The only option would be to take Weili to win by finish or to play the rounds. I think there might be a little value on Weili to win by finish, so that would be the way I lean in this fight.
