UFC Fight Night 132 Odds - Jessica Eye vs. Jessica-Rose Clark Betting Guide

No. 9 flyweight Jessica-Rose Clark (9-4, 2 KOs, 2 SUBs) meets No. 10 Jessica Eye (12-6, 3 KOs, 1 SUB) at UFC Fight Night 132 on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore. The card airs live on UFC Fight Pass starting 8 am ET.

Dropping down a weight class seems to have done the trick for Jessica Eye. After losing four straight at 135 pounds, “Evil” Eye made her flyweight debut this past January and battled to a split decision win over Kalindra Faria at UFC Fight Night 124.

On that same card, Jessica-Rose Clark took a unanimous decision in the co-main event over star Paige VanZant. It was easily the biggest win of her career. The victory followed on the heels of a successful UFC debut against Bec Rawlings.

In this new weight class, it should only take a few consecutive victories to steadily climb the ranks. We all know that Valentina Shevchenko is inevitably going to hold the title, but it’ll be interesting to see how things shape up beneath her. While neither Clark nor Eye have flashed serious championship potential, a win here could be the start of a run for either.

This should be a decently competitive matchup, and there are a few betting options you should be considering. Let’s take a look at the UFC odds at BookMaker.eu and break it down.

Matchup Breakdown
Like Eye, Clark is a career bantamweight who has found her home at 125 pounds. While she is an active striker, she’s not a particularly technical or powerful one. Landing 5.2 strikes per minute is an excellent statistic - but those punches and kicks aren’t really a threat to knock anyone out.

Where Clark does her best work is in the clinch. The Australian loves to swarm in behind a barrage of strikes, locking up and throwing opponents to the ground. From there, it’s frequent GNP to soften up her foes. Like with her standup, Clark’s submission game isn’t pretty, but she does have the basics to keep fighters honest.

Eye is much more polished on the feet, as she comes from a boxing background. The Strong Style Fight Team is particularly good as a counterpuncher, using her discipline to mark up opponents with strong counter crosses and follow-up combinations. Needless to say, if this fight stays standing, she should be able to dissect a swarmer like Clark.

UFC Odds Pick: Eye to win at +120
Though Clark’s takedown average and accuracy are solid, Eye’s takedown defense is stellar. If she’s able to bloody up a rushing Clark and separate with punches, it’ll become a downhill fight for Eye. While it won’t be the most action-packed scrap on the card, look for Eye’s technicality to prevail.

UFC Odds Pick: Fight goes to decision -400
This is definitely a parlay anchor, as the price is too high to play as a straight bet. But given that neither woman has the firepower to put each other away, nor overwhelming grappling skills, this is sure to go to the cards. Since both women have a tendency to get into very close scraps - admittedly because they midcard talents - we understand if you’re wary of picking a winner. This is your safe play.
