Grasso said this to mmamania.com about her upcoming fight against Wood, “It has been tough. Sometimes things are out of our control, but I’m feeling great, I’m a committed athlete and I’ve been sharpening my game. I’m pretty excited for this fight because we’re both strikers and these fights are the ones I enjoy the most. My goals for 2022 are to win all my fights in a blunt way to meet all requirements to be in line for a title shot. I’m not the matchmaker, but I hope to be pretty close to it after this next fight!”

UFC Picks
The first thing that sticks out to me in this fight is the price. Is Grasso really good enough to be listed as a 2-1 favorite over Wood? I don’t see that much of a difference between the two fighters. Wood has lost two straight and three of her last four fights, but her level of competition has been good. This should be a striking battle and it appears to be pretty even. I do lean slightly to Grasso, but I definitely think the value is on Wood at a price of almost 2-1. It is hard to see either of these two getting a finish in what should be a very even fight. I am not thrilled about laying more than 3-1 on the rounds to go over 2.5, but that is probably the best bet in this fight. Playing the fight to go to a decision is priced at just over 2-1 so that is a little bit better value, but I am never thrilled to be laying more than 2-1 in UFC betting. Taking a shot with Wood at the plus price and taking the fight to go to a decision look to be the best options in this bout.
