Brendan Allen is heavily favored against Kyle Daukaus at UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker on Saturday, June 27 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This event is one of four fights on the main card on ESPN. Allen is 14-3 in his career, while Daukaus is 9-0 in his career. There are a total of four fights on the main card with the headliner a bout between Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker. There are also a total of seven fights on the preliminary card on ESPN. Let’s look at the bout between Allen and Daukaus and UFC predictions.
UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker
Brendan Allen (14-3, 2-0 UFC)
Allen came into the UFC with a record of 12-3 and he has two wins and no losses in the UFC. He defeated Kevin Holland by rear-naked choke submission and Tom Breese by TKO. Allen’s last loss in his career was against Anthony Hernandez by unanimous decision on January 26, 2018. Allen has been a pro since 2015 and he has five wins by TKO/KO and eight by submission. He has eight first round finishes.
Allen said this to ufc.com about his upcoming fight against Daukaus, “I watched his fights and he’s not bad — he’s good for a local circuit guy. But like I said, there are levels to this and I feel like I’m on a different level. I feel like he could beat guys in the lower tier of the UFC, but I’m not in the lower tier. I feel like I’m fighting some of the best in the division already and doing things some other guys can’t do. I’m confident in my abilities and I haven’t even begun to show close to everything yet, but I’ll show another aspect on June 27.”
Kyle Daukaus (9-0, UFC debut)
Daukaus will be making his UFC debut this Saturday. In his last fight, he defeated Nolan Norwood by brabo choke submission on February 1, 2020. Daukaus has been a pro since 2017 and he has eight wins by submission. He has three first round finishes.

UFC Picks
Daukaus will be making his UFC debut in this fight and is looking to continue his unbeaten record. Allen has fought only two times in the UFC, but he won both of his fights. Allen has been running his mouth about how he is at a different level than Daukaus, but that remains to be seen. I am sure not laying nearly 3-1 on Allen, but I can’t get too excited about taking Daukaus.
These two have combined for 16 submissions, so I’ll look at some submission props for this fight and also take the rounds to go under the total.
