UFC Picks
Someone has to turn things around when Calvillo takes on Nunes on Saturday. Calvillo has had all kinds of trouble of late, losing her last three fights, while Nunes has dropped her last two. Perhaps we can give Nunes a bit of a pass for the last defeat, as she hasn’t fought in a while before the loss to Dern. We can at least give Calvillo some props for her losses to Katlyn Chookagian and Jessica Andrade but the loss to Andrea Lee last November is concerning.
Calvillo is listed as a slight favorite in this fight but it is hard to favor either of these two fighters. They both badly need to win this fight to turn things around and picking a winner is tough. At least if you take Nunes you are getting +120, but the better choice is probably the rounds. The rounds option at BookMaker is listed at 2.5 with the over a decent sized favorite. I am not impressed with either of the two fighter’s finishing ability. Perhaps Calvillo has a bit better submission skill, but nothing to write home about and perhaps Nunes is the better striker, but she doesn’t throw fear into anyone. Both of these fighters need to prove something in this one, so I would expect a fight that goes the distance. I will go over the rounds total of 2.5 in this fight.
