UFC Picks
Zawada is getting back into the ring after being gone for over a year and I rarely like to take fighters coming off a layoff. Emeev is the better fighter and he will probably get the win, but I don’t like laying big prices and Emeev is nearly a 3-1 favorite. I do like the rounds in this fight, as I find it hard to believe that Zawada is going to be in good enough cardio shape after his layoff to go the distance. These two have combined for 17 first round finishes and it would not surprise me to see a quick finish in this one. I will go under the rounds total in this fight. UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. Kattar at the Etihad Arena in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates takes place on Sunday January 17 but because of the time difference, it will start on Saturday, January 16 Eastern Time in North America with five fights on the main card on ABC/ESPN+ headlined by Max Holloway vs. Calvin Kattar and seven preliminary bouts on ESPN+.
