Lewis said this to supersport.com about his upcoming fight against Nascimento, “Just being unpredictable... you never know what I’m going to do. In the first round, as soon as the bell rings, you never know what I’m going to come out and do. There is stuff I’ve been wanting to do for years inside the Octagon that I didn’t have the cardio to do it, but I finally believe I’ve got a little more cardio and I can really achieve these things now.”

Nascimento said this to supersport.com about his upcoming fight against Lewis, “I learned a lot about staying focused. That’s how life is—highs and lows all the time. I’ll show that I’m a different kind of fighter. I’ve had highs and lows, but that’s OK. I’ve learned a lot.”

UFC Picks
We get yet another main event featuring Lewis. He has lost four of his last six fights, including a main event loss to Jailton Almeida in November. Nascimento is 4-1 in the UFC but his level of competition definitely hasn’t been anything special. Lewis is listed as the favorite in this fight but the price isn’t that high. There is no question that Lewis has faced far better competition than has Nascimento and this is really a fight that Lewis needs to win if he expects to continue to get big paydays. I’ll lay the price and take Lewis to get the win.
I also think the rounds are worth a strong look. It used to be that you could simply take Lewis fights to go under, but I don’t think that is the case any longer. He went the distance in his last fight against Almeida and Lewis seems to be making it a point to say that his cardio is better and he wants to show what he can do. You can’t do much of that if the fight doesn’t last long. I’ll also take the rounds to go over the total.
