Spivak is up-and-coming... Look for him to weather the storm and utilize every tool that he has in the tool box to get a win over Lewis... I'm going to probably lean a little bit towards Spivak.”

UFC Picks
Derrick Lewis is somehow still featured in a main event, despite losing three of his last four fights. Lewis will look to show that he still belongs in the upper tier of heavyweights, as he takes on Sergey Spivak. The good news for Lewis is that he has always fought well in Las Vegas, as he is a perfect 8-0 in Vegas. Spivak also likes to fight in Vegas, as he calls Vegas his home now.
There is little doubt as to what the plan will be for this fight, as Lewis throws big haymakers and hopes to land one. When he does, he wins, but when he doesn’t, he usually loses. Lewis has 26 wins in his career and 21 of those wins have come by knockout. The key for fighters who have beaten Lewis is to go in with no fear and that happened the last two times with Tai Tuivasa and Sergei Pavlovich winning against Lewis by knockout. The problem for Spivak is that he doesn’t have the power of those two.
The question in this fight is whether Spivak can avoid the big shot and find a way to beat Lewis. What we do know is that most of the money has come in on Spivak, as he opened as a small underdog and is now nearly a 2-1 favorite. I am definitely not laying 2-1 on Spivak and I am also not thrilled about going against the line move and taking Lewis. I know that Lewis is a knockout artist, but Spivak is well aware of that and I think he will be cautious at the beginning of this fight. The rounds on this fight are listed at just 1.5. I’ll go over the rounds total in this fight.
