UFC Picks
I am a little bit surprised at the odds on this fight, as I can’t see Rodriguez as a more than 2-1 favorite. Herman has had his struggles at times, but he has fought more quality opposition than has Rodriguez. We know what we are going to get with both of these two fighters, as Herman wants to get the fight to the mat and win by submission, while Rodriguez wants to keep the fight standing and get a knockout. Rodriguez has been nothing special in terms of takedown defense, so he could have some trouble in this fight. I lean to the underdog Herman in this one, but I think the better play is the rounds. These two have combined for 31 finishes. Every single one of Rodriguez’s 11 wins have come by knockout or submission, while 20 of Herman’s 25 wins have been finishes. I will go under the rounds total in this one.
