We were good training partners. After a good hard run, it was like, hey, good job. It was good. It was tough. We were able to train hard when she was here and I know we’ll be able to fight hard.”

UFC Picks
It is hard to get too excited about taking either of these fighters. Holm is 41-years old and has almost as many losses in the UFC as she has wins. Kunitskaya, who is now known as Santos, has not fought since July of 2021. Holm is coming off a split decision loss to Ketlen Vieira in her last fight. Holm controlled much of that fight but she didn’t do much damage and Vieira was able to come away with the decision. Kunitskaya lost to Irene Aldana in July of 2021. She then announced she was expecting a child with Thiago Santos and she gave birth in April of 2022. The question in this fight is how does the layoff affect Kunitskaya? She has the skill to beat Holm if she is truly in shape. We know that Holm is tough but she also has lost much of her skill.
The price on Holm is simply too high. There is no way I would lay 2-1 on Holm in this fight. The value is definitely on Kunitskaya at plus money, so I’ll make a small play on her to win this fight. The rounds option on this fight is listed at 2.5 with the over at -300. I can’t see either of these two fighters getting the finish, so this should be a fight that goes over the rounds total. Laying the big price is a bit much for me, but taking the over is still the way I would go.
