Fiziev is listed as about a 2-1 favorite to win this fight with the rounds listed at 4.5. This is one of those fights where the veteran, dos Anjos, goes against the prospect, in Fiziev. These two were supposed to meet in February but the fight got pushed back to July. Dos Anjos didn’t wait for Fiziev in February, as he stepped in to fight Renato Moicano at UFC 272 and won a unanimous decision. Fiziev lost his UFC debut but has since won five straight. There is no question that dos Anjos has more experience and has fought better competition, but he is on the downside of his career, while Fiziev is on the way up.

There is definitely some value on dos Anjos simply because he has proven more in his career than has Fiziev. I still don’t know that I want to trust dos Anjos against a fighter in Fiziev who could be really good, but the price is tempting. The rounds option of 4.5 is also interesting. If dos Anjos does what he said he is going to do and pressure Fiziev then I think we could get a finish one way or the other. Fiziev has shown very good finishing skills and I don’t think he will shy away from pressure. I’ll go under the rounds of 4.5 at plus money.
