I want to test his mettle, you know, I understand the top fighter he is. The grit, the tenacity he has and the type of fight that he wants, but yeah, I want to get in, I've got 15 minutes to put on a show, [to] put on a barn burner, and that's exactly what I want to do... It would be amazing to be the first one to finish him. These guys at the top level are very hard to finish, they're there for a reason, everyone's tough.”

UFC Picks
Whittaker is definitely an excellent middleweight fighter, but he just happens to be second-best behind Israel Adesanya. It would seem to be unlikely he gets a third chance against Adesanya, but you never know. Whittaker definitely can’t afford to take Vettori lightly in this contest. Vettori has shown he can beat good fighters and he has won five of his last six bouts. I know that Whittaker has said he would like to finish Vettori, but no one has pulled that off yet and I don’t know that Whittaker is the one to do it. Whittaker should win this fight, but I don’t know that I want to lay more than 2-1.The best option should be the rounds. This is just a three round fight and the price is high, but I think it should go over the 2.5 rounds. Whittaker has decent power, but Vettori is very tough and should be able to withstand the shots from Whittaker. If Whittaker can stay off the mat and out of submission danger this fight should go the distance, so I will take the rounds to go over the total.
