Strickland knows that a win over Hall would be huge, but he is not putting too much pressure on himself. “You beat Uriah, it puts you about one fight away from a title shot,” Strickland said to the media, “But I don’t really fight for what’s next, what’s this. I like to fight. This is my job, this is my life, and if I wasn’t getting paid to fight, I’d probably pay to fight.”

Strickland knows that he has to put constant pressure on Hall to win. “I just gotta keep hitting it over and over again, from round one to round five, just say in his face. And he knows that.” Strickland said to the media, “Maybe (I’ll) throw in a takedown here and there. He knows that. He’s going to try and catch me and I’m going to try to beat him to death.”

UFC Picks

I like Strickland to win this fight, but I am not thrilled about laying more than 2-1. Hall is a tough fighter and definitely not without a chance. I think the rounds might be the better play. This is scheduled for five rounds and an option to bet 3.5 rounds is on the board. Hall and Strickland are friends and have sparred together in the past. I would be really surprised if this fight didn’t go back and forth and go the distance so I will go over the rounds total.
