The last match of the International Champions Cup will take place from the Spanish capital on Saturday when Atletico Madrid hosts Inter Milan. The last few weeks have given us the chance to see some of the top clubs in the world compete, and Inter Milan has a chance to win the preseason tournament. A win would give them the same amount of points as Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund. To beat both clubs on goal differential, they need to win by four or more goals though.
The International Champions Cup brings some of the top clubs in Europe to cities around the world that normally don’t get to see top flight football. The match will take place at Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid, Spain at 3:05 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 11, 2018. Catch every moment of the match live on ESPN News.

These are two of the top defensive clubs in the world, and that will make it hard for Inter Milan to win by the requisite number of goals. However, the club has played great defense during this competition, and they have currently allowed fewer goals than any other team taking part in the ICC.
In their first match of the ICC, Inter Milan and Chelsea finished full time at 1-1. Try as they might, Chelsea was unable to break through Inter’s defense after Pedro scored in the eighth minute, even though the Blues had the lion’s share of possession. Inter did not have many chances to score, but Roberto Gagliardini was able to find the back of the net shortly after the break to level the match. Unfortunately for Inter, they went on to lose in the shootout.
Last weekend, Inter played the type of football we are accustomed to from them. They were able to keep a shutout in a 1-0 win over Lyon, with Lautaro Martinez providing the game’s lone goal.
This will be Atletico’s first match in Europe after playing their first two matches in Singapore. In the first, Atletico Madrid was able to upend Arsenal in penalty kicks. Although Arsenal started a good number of their first-team players, Atletico was able to hold firm at the back and handed Unai Emery his first loss of the season.
In the club’s second match, Paris Saint-Germain pulled off an upset. PSG looked to have the match in hand with a 2-0 lead in the 75th minute, but then Victor Carpintero Mollejo scored for Atletico in the 75th minute and an own goal tied the match. However, Atletico was unable to get a win in penalties this time as a stoppage time PSG goal denied them the chance.
Atletico Madrid Player to Watch
Jan Oblak is seen by many as the top goalkeeper in the world, and European clubs have been inquiring about his availability recently. Oblak had a fantastic campaign with Atletico last season, making incredible save after incredible save in order to make the club one of the best defensive teams in the world. He is likely to see action here ahead of Atletico’s UEFA Supercup tie with rival Real Madrid, but if he sits out a move is likely forthcoming.
Inter Milan Player to Watch
Sime Vrsaljko has to be the player highlighted for Inter. Vrsaljko played a major part in Croatia’s incredible run to the World Cup final, and he is seen as one of the top defenders around. He was recently acquired by Inter Milan from none other than Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan, and he is likely to relish playing against his former teammates. He is joining the team on the trip to Madrid and should feature.

The under is a good bet in this one. Atletico won’t want to show much ahead of the clash with Real Madrid, and Antoine Griezmann is unlikely to play after picking up a knock in practice. Inter Milan on the goal line has value too.
International Champions Cup Odds: Inter Milan 1, Atletico Madrid 1
