Bayern Munich and Manchester City are both entering their last matches of the International Champions Cup. Manchester City are looking to pick up a result. They have failed to do so in their two previous matches, and City would like to have some kind of momentum heading into their FA Community Shield match against Chelsea next week. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich did win their first match, but they failed to win their second due to some defensive errors. The Bundesliga champions are going to want to shore those up in their last match.
The International Champions Cup brings some of the top clubs in Europe to cities around the world that normally don’t get to see top flight football. The match will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida at 7:05 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 28, 2018. Catch every moment of the match live on ESPN.

Last Matches
Bayern Munich is going to face three fellow league champions during its ICC slate. They were able to take down Ligue 1 winners Paris Saint Germain 3-1 in their first game, taking that match over in the second half after being down 1-0 going into halftime. The story of that match was the play of Renato Sanches, who scored on a sublime free kick and looked good during his time on the pitch.
The German club wasn’t so fortunate against Serie A winners Juventus on Wednesday. The travel and tired legs may have led to the mistakes in the back that plagued them in the match. A poor back pass led to a terrible decision from Sven Ulreich to try to clear the ball off the line, but he didn’t get enough on it giving Juventus the game’s first goal without a goalkeeper in net. A few minutes later, Juventus doubled their lead after the back line was far too high, giving Andrea Favilli the ball in oodles of space, and he calmly finished over Ulreich. Although Bayern did lose 2-0, they were able to launch 20 shots and controlled the run of play.
It was always going to be a lot to ask for Manchester City to play well here. City are still without 16 players that took part in the World Cup, and that has led to Pep Guardiola patching together line-ups packed with reserves. They managed just five shots in their 1-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund last weekend, but they did look much better against a Liverpool side that had most of its starters available. Leroy Sane was able to open the scoring in the 57th, yet a late foul cost them at least a draw in a 2-1 loss.
Manchester City Player to Watch
Sane has made the most out of the extra work. His surprise omission from the German national team meant that he didn’t have egg on his face after the World Cup, and he has instead been able to get into form. Guardiola is going to lean on him early in the season, as so many other City players are likely to play themselves back into form in one capacity or another. He knows he has his manager’s confidence, and he is not going to squander it.
Bayern Munich Player to Watch
The play of Sanches at the ICC has been something that new manager Niko Kovac has noticed. Sanches has struggled in the past, seemingly lacking the confidence that players need in order to succeed on major clubs like Bayern. His loan spell was a disaster, but the World Cup seems to have given him confidence. Sanches has been the most impressive player for Bayern at the ICC, and he will get the chance to shine once more.

Guardiola knows that his team is at a major disadvantage. Bayern nearly has its full contingent at this point, and they have been able to control possession like City typically does. The Citizens just don’t have the weapons to stop them.
International Champions Cup Odds: Bayern Munich 2, Manchester City 1
