The penultimate match of the International Champions Cup will take place just outside of New York City on Tuesday night when Real Madrid faces AS Roma. Both sides are 1-1 at the International Champions Cup thus far, and this will be both teams’ last exhibition match in the United States before returning to Europe. Neither team is in contention to win the International Champions Cup.
The International Champions Cup brings some of the top clubs in Europe to cities around the world that normally don’t get to see top flight football. The match will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey at 8:05 p.m. ET on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Catch every moment of the match live on ESPN.

Real Madrid was not able to knock off Manchester United in their first match. Although they were able to control 71 percent of the possession and had 15 shots compared to just six from their opponents, they fell 2-1. Karim Benzema scored the lone goal for Real Madrid in the match.
On Saturday, they looked much better in a 3-1 win over Juventus. After Dani Carvajal made a dreadful mistake in attempting to stop a cross and instead putting the ball in the back of his own net, Gareth Bale leveled just before half. Bale was able to pick up a ball just outside the box and put a lovely strike into the top corner. Marco Asensio added a brace shortly after halftime, giving Real the victory.
In their first friendly, Roma got hammered by Tottenham. Roma looked lost in the back line in that match, letting in four goals in the first half after offseason acquisition Patrik Schick opened the scoring in the third minute.
However, Roma was able to get the better of Barcelona last Tuesday. Roma fell behind twice to the team they memorably upset in the Champions League Quarterfinals earlier this year, but they rallied back each time on their way to a 4-2 victory. Stephan El Shaarawy got Roma on the board in the 35th, but goals from Alessandro Florenzi, Bryan Cristante, and Diego Perroti in the last 15 minutes before full time proved to be the difference makers.
Real Madrid Player to Watch
This is looking more and more like Gareth Bale’s team. After the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, there was a question of who would step up to lead Real Madrid, and Bale seems to be the most likely candidate. Bale was phenomenal during Real’s Champions League final victory over Liverpool, and the goal against Juventus showed what he is capable of. He is likely to see more time in this match.
AS Roma Player to Watch
Edin Dzeko turned it on over the second half of last season. Dzeko struggled to make his mark with AS Roma without Mo Salah for the first half of the season, and he looked unable to create many opportunities of his own. However, he was phenomenal in the Champions League and really came up big when his team needed him the most. He has yet to score in the ICC, but he has played in both previous matches and should find his way onto the field again here.

Over is going to be the play in this match. Real Madrid and Roma have played open, flowing matches at the ICC and both sides should do so again. Both teams are trying to work new additions into the lineup, and we should see a number of starters play significant minutes. There is some value in the draw too, but the over is the best bet in this one.
International Champions Cup Odds: Real Madrid 2, AS Roma 2
