It's never a good sign when your manager says that you have "zero chance" to win a match. Not only does KAA Gent have to find a way to beat Wolfsburg on Tuesday night to keep its Champions League hopes alive, but it has to get at least two, and likely at least three in the back of the net to do so.... 

PSG and Chelsea both know that the Champions League is all they have left to really play for in the 2015-16 season. The Parisians are already the comfortable Ligue 1 champs, while Chelsea knows that winning this tournament is the only path available to stay in the Champions League next season.... 

Atletico Madrid doesn't play the sexiest variety of soccer on the planet, but that isn't stopping it from being the fourth favorite to win the Champions League. The draw for the last 16 could've been more difficult, but going to Dutch soil to take on PSV Eindhoven is never an easy task.... 

Ukrainian teams have never really had the most luck in the Champions League, and this year isn't likely to be an exception. However, that doesn't make a trip to Kiev any less dangerous for a team which has been sliding just a bit and has played a slew of fixtures in recent weeks. Manchester City knows the dangerous of going on the road where it is going to be taking on essentially an entire nation, as Dynamo Kiev is going to give it all that it has in order to take the lead in this home-and-home series in the last 16 of the tournament.... 

There aren't many teams in the world which have been more dominant this season than Juventus in Italian Serie A. The Old Lady is 18-4-4 domestically and is +31 to show for its work. Sure, there's still work to be done to put aside Napoli and the rest, but all of that will be put aside for the Champions League on Tuesday night. You'd think that a team with these credentials in a league this good would be a slam dunk favorite. Instead, Juve is being punished for finishing second in the group stage. The punishment for not winning their group is a date with German giants, Bayern Munich.... 

The break between the Champions League group stage and the start of the knockout rounds feels like an eternity, but the biggest club soccer competition in the world is back at it once again. Eight of the last 16 teams already played their first leg of their two-legged ties, while the last eight will get back on the pitch this Tuesday and Wednesday.... 

Teams which start in the Champions League and ultimately finish third in their groups often have wildly inconsistent results when they fall into the Europa League. A team like Manchester United is certainly not used to playing on Danish soil, but that's exactly what's happening on Thursday when the Red Devils travel to take on FC Midtjylland.... 

The knockout rounds of the Champions League begin on Tuesday with a pair of fixtures. Chelsea would have normally been a big favorite to get into at least the last eight of this competition. However, with as badly as the Blues have played this season, anything could happen in an opening round duel against Paris Saint-Germain.... 

Real Madrid might be the third best team in La Liga right now, but that isn't stopping it from being one of the top favorites to win the Champions League. AS Roma knows that it's going to need a win in this match to have any chance of advancing to the last eight, but there aren't many, perhaps even including inside that locker room, who believe there's much of a chance against one of the best teams in the world.... 

For the first time this year, Mexico will call upon its national team to play in a friendly match. Unfortunately for the fans traveling down to Miami for the game, the team they see won't necessarily be one of tremendous quality, something which could give Senegal a bit of a leg up in a match which it will be an underdog for sure.... 

For the second time this year, the United States men's soccer team will be in action against a foe which it should be putting away with ease. Emotions are going to be running high on the pitch at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday, as the French national soccer team will be united in its trip to London in a friendly match against England. It's the first time France will take center stage in international competition since last Friday's shocking explosions outside of the Stade de France.... 

There are only three spots left in Euro 2016, and either Sweden or Denmark will punch a ticket to the European championships on Tuesday in Copenhagen.With the Swedes taking a 2-1 result at home, it's pretty clear that it's right around a 50/50 proposition for both of these clubs to continue on to France in 2016.... 

Jurgen Klinsmann was largely considered one of the brightest minds in soccer when the United States Soccer Federation brought him in from Germany to build up a program which was always considered rich in possibility but lacking in results.... 

It has been a fierce road to get to Euro 2016 for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ireland, as they both placed third in their respective groups. There's only room for one of the two in Euro 2016 though, and they'll start a home and home series against one another on Friday night in Zenica, one of the most lethal places for away teams to travel in all of Europe.... 

Another set of Champions League games is upon us, as the best teams from across Europe will continue their group stage games.... 

In other groups, Borussia Monchengladbach would've had a legitimate chance of getting into the last 16 of the Champions League. Getting drawn into the Group of Death was a horrible fate for them, and after pulling off just one goal versus five allowed in the first two matches in Group D, the task will get no easier against the table-toppers, Juventus on Wednesday.... 

With Barcelona lurking at the top of Group E, one would figure there is only one spot up for grabs for either AS Roma or Bayer Leverkusen left to get into the knockout rounds of the Champions League. With the Italian side having already lost to BATE Borisov, the supposed doormat of this group, anything less than a draw on German soil would probably end up being a death knell.... 

Spain has already made its way into Euro 2016, which makes its squad choice somewhat of a question mark going into a match with Ukraine on Monday which means everything to the hosts in Kiev.... 

It's becoming painfully clear for the Netherlands that it is going to be in a lot of trouble when it comes to qualifying for Euro 2016. The argument could be made that it is going to take a miracle to get to France at this point, and anything short of a win against the Czech Republic on Tuesday will ensure the fate of Danny Blind's men....
