Two out of three aint bad but it’s a losing college football parlay at your Bitcoin sportsbook. Unfortunately that’s what happened last week losing the one bet I felt the best about. That’s just how it goes when betting on the outcome of sporting events. Auburn killed me losing outright to a Cal team that narrowly escaped a FCS opponent in Week 1. It’s easy to overreact early in the season and that’s what happened in this game. The Tigers were laying 13-points and they barely scored that many in the 21-14 setback. I did hit the other two picks, but it didn’t really matter since the outcome was already settled. There are some good games in Week 3 we can use to build a winning parlay with two of them featuring ranked teams. No. 14 Kansas State opened as a 7-point home favorite for its tilt with No. 20 Arizona on Friday night. No. 24 Boston College gets a test at No. 6 Missouri as a 16.5-point dog.

Boston College +16.5 at Missouri
Oregon State +16 vs. Oregon
I’ve come up with a list of honorable mention college football parlay picks that will be revealed at the end of this section. If those picks all win I’ll then call it my alternate parlay card. My Week 3 selections include one of the biggest rivalries in college football. Just because the Pac-12 imploded doesn’t mean the impactful games have changed. Their place on the schedule is different but that doesn’t lessen the importance of the matchup formerly known as the Civil War.
Oregon was a trendy national championship pick before the season and they could still win it all, but the Ducks will need more consistency and a better ground game if they want to contend with the big boys. They got by FCS Idaho, 24-14, in the opener as a 49-point favorite. Okay, they knocked some rust off and we’ll see the real Ducks in Week 2. The game with G5 Boise State was even tighter. Oregon trailed by a touchdown five minutes into the fourth quarter before rallying with the game-winning field goal as time expired.
OSU saw an exodus of talent when they were left holding the Pac-12 bag but it hasn’t prevented them from a 2-0 start. Going against similar competition the Beavers have allowed a total of 15 points. They’ve also controlled the clock by averaging nearly 300 yards rushing. If they can continue to run the ball effectively the 16-point spread will look like 30 points. And in a rivalry game the underdog has nothing to lose.
We’ll get things started with Friday’s matchup between Kansas and UNLV. The teams just played last December with KU getting a 49-36 cover as an 8-point favorite in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. The Rebels have outscored opponents 99-21 in their two wins, but they aren’t playing Utah Tech this week. The Jayhawks were pegged to finish near the top of the Big 12 standings but they hit a pothole last week losing to Illinois 23-17. Self-inflicted wounds were costly with four turnovers, including one of Jalon Daniels’ three picks returned for a score. Value the football and the Jayhawks should cover the 7-point spread at home.
We now know that Florida State was overrated entering the season so the BC win in Week 1 lost some of its luster. Still it was huge for the program as the Eagles look to build around new coach Bill O’Brien and they didn’t let down the following week pummeling Duquesne, 56-0. Missouri had a monster last season and they’ve yet to allow a point beating overmatched Murray State and Buffalo while covering the CFB betting line both times. BC is a step up and getting 16.5-points looks like a good deal.
Now to the backup CFB parlay card. I’ve hit the OVER twice already with Iowa and I’ll stick with it in their game against Troy. The number opened at 38.5, which is slightly higher than the closing total in their first two outings. Troy’s defense isn’t going to scare anyone and having QB Goose Crowder back should be enough to get some points. UTEP is a few years away from being good so I’ll back Liberty -22.5 in that contest. Also, Tulane gave away their game against Kansas State and catching 13-points against an erratic Oklahoma club looks good.
