College Football Week 9 Parlay Picks - CFB Online Betting

College Football Week 9 Parlay Picks

For the fourth time this college football season we have a new No. 1 ranked team in the AP poll. The Oregon Ducks followed their upset of Ohio State with a demolition of Purdue and take on No. 20 Illinois in their first game as the nation’s top team. It’s one of five contests featuring ranked squads on the Week 9 schedule. I have yet to back Oregon on my college football parlay picks and I’m not sure this is the week with the Ducks laying three touchdowns at the Crypto Sportsbook to a squad that’s 5-1-1 against the CFB betting line. You can say all you want about their schedule but this is a great opportunity for No. 24 Navy to end a six-game losing streak to No. 12 Notre Dame. The Middies have won all six games by an average of 25.1 points and they are catching 12.5-points. The biggest game of the week could be in the Mountain West between one-loss teams Boise State and UNLV. The Broncos are laying 3-points in the clash of the league’s best.

Week 9 College Football Parlay Card Wagers

Boise State -3 at UNLV

Penn State -6.5 at Wisconsin

Navy +12.5 vs. Notre Dame

I didn’t see Iowa losing outright to Michigan State and I definitely didn’t have Indiana exceeding the point total on their own against a good Nebraska defense. Those two losses on last week’s three-wager college football parlay sent me to another loss. The end of the season is getting close as we near the final month of the regular season so I better pick up the pace. I did hit the Army game with the Black Knights covering the 15.5-point spread in their 45-28 victory. I bought that game at the right time with the line moving to -17.5 by kickoff.

I mentioned the Mountain West confrontation and it’s hard not to like Boise State. The Broncos have been dominant in four straight wins since their lone setback to Oregon in Week 2. BSU had the now No. 1 Ducks on the ropes leading by a touchdown in the fourth quarter. They also have Heisman Trophy candidate Ashton Jeanty, who leads the country averaging 208 rushing yards. He’s gone for more than 120 yards in all six contests topping the 200-yard mark three times with 17 rushing scores.

The two met in the MWC championship last season with Boise State winning 44-20 behind 153 rushing yards and a TD from Jeanty. UNLV’s strength is offense so the opening total of 65.5 isn’t a surprise, but it’s too high for me and instead I’ll back BSU since they’ve had the Rebels’ number winning the last six meetings.

With Oregon elevated to No. 1 in the national rankings and four other teams among the top 20, the Big Ten has gotten plenty of pub. However, Penn State has quietly gone about its business winning every game to move into No. 3. It’s odd the Nittany Lions aren’t getting more attention, but that appears to be just fine with them. They had a startling comeback to beat USC on the road two weeks ago and return to face Wisconsin in Week 9 as a 6.5-point road favorite. Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen lead a strong PSU ground game against a weak Wisconsin run defense and I can see the Lions covering after a week off to prepare.

I’ve been saying for a number of years that I think Notre Dame is constantly overrated. To their credit, though, the Irish responded nicely after a stunning home loss to Northern Illinois by winning their last five games by an average of more than 30 points while going 4-1 ATS. Navy has been most efficient running the football averaging nearly 275 yards and they frustrate opponents with their option attack. Blake Horvath is a handful directing the offense and I can see this game being much closer than most expect. I’ll back the Middies but I’m not confident they win outright so taking the points is the smart play.

I should probably include my honorable mention pick in my CFB parlay since I’ve won three in a row. I had Georgia and the points against Texas last week and the Dawgs came through with an impressive 30-15 road win. This week I’m backing Alabama -13.5 at home against Missouri. Bama has no room for error after losing two of their last three and the Tide will come out blazing.
