NFL Week 6 Parlay Picks

It turns out last week was not a good one for underdogs with teams catching points covering the spread in only four games at the Bitcoin Sportsbook. Three of them were outright winners and unfortunately I didn’t have any of them on my NFL parlay underdog picks. My favored teams did better with two of three picks hitting with only Seattle’s upset loss to the Giants costing me another nice payout. I will continue moving ahead in search of NFL parlay card winners with 14 games on the Week 6 slate to choose from.

We still have two teams that are undefeated through five games with both of them having a bye. The Chiefs beat New Orleans on Monday night covering the spread for the fourth time. The surprising Minnesota Vikings moved to 5-0 SU and ATS with their 23-17 cover win over the Jets. That also turned out to be the final game of Robert Saleh’s Jets coaching career as he was fired following a 2-3 start. Their first game under interim Jeff Ulbrich takes place on Monday Night Football against AFC East leading Buffalo. The Jets are a 2.5-point home dog on the early line.

NFL Week 6 Parlay Card Underdogs

Commanders +6.5 at Ravens

Cowboys +3.5 vs. Lions

NY Jets +2.5 vs. Bills

I mentioned in last week’s piece that there were more games where I liked the favorite and changed my routine from three underdog NFL parlay picks to two. Teams laying points went a combined 11-3 SU and 10-4 ATS so I should get a win for identifying that. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way and my two dogs came up empty. Tampa was this close to getting a win only to have the Falcons boot a game-tying field goal as time expired then win it in overtime. The Saints also came up short losing to KC 26-13 as a 5-point dog.

The three dogs identified above look like sure winners on my NFL parlay card. Led by Jayden Daniels, Washington has won and cashed four games in a row and leads the NFL in scoring with an average of 31 points. The team formerly known as the Redskins averaged 38 points in its last three victories with Daniels accounting for seven touchdowns. Known for their defense in recent years, the Ravens have slipped in that area allowing nearly 450 yards in last week’s 41-38 win over Cincinnati. This could be a shootout and Washington has the firepower to stay within the spread.

The Cowboys showed a lot of resiliency beating Pittsburgh on the road last week. Despite two Dak Prescott interceptions and three total turnovers, the Boys pulled it out on a Dak scoring pass in the final minute. And while the Lions have improved under Dan Campbell, Dallas has their number winning the last six meetings. I’ll back the Boys and the points. And a coaching change more often than not ignites a team, which is exactly what the Jets are looking for. Josh Allen and the Bills have struggled the last two games and the Jets won the previous two meetings in Jersey giving me enough confidence to back Gang Green.

Bears -2.5 vs. Jaguars

Falcons -6 at Panthers

The Bears did me a solid last week so I’m going back to them in their matchup with the Jags. It looks like the offense is starting to come around under Caleb Williams and the defense has been extraordinary all season. Williams threw for over 300 yards as Chicago covered 3.5-point spread in their 36-10 win over Carolina. And the Bears are perfect at home winning and covering in all three contests. On defense they allow the seventh fewest yards and fifth fewest points while holding opposing QBs to a league-low 65.4 rating. I don’t trust Trevor Lawrence against a bad defense so I’m certainly not giving him a chance against the Bears.

I’m not picking on the Panthers but they sure are an easy target. They reverted to form against Chicago scoring just 10 points after a two-week out-of-body experience. In those games the Panthers scored 60 points and picked up their first win. The switch to Andy Dalton paid off but that quickly subsided and Bryce Young was back in against the Bears. There is the possibility of a letdown for the Falcons after beating division foes New Orleans and Tampa Bay the last two weeks, but Kirk Cousins has found his mojo and the Atlanta weapons will be too much.
