NFL Week 9 Parlay Picks

For the second straight week I hit four of five NFL parlay picks and cashed a winning ticket on my two-team underdog card. I’ll look to continue the heater in Week 9 with 15 games on tap to build a winning NFL parlay at your Bitcoin Sportsbook. I’ve backed the Colts several times this season, including both their matchups with Houston, and they paid off. All eight of their games have finished with a margin of six points or less so backing them at +6 last week was a good move. The Colts are also a money-maker with seven payouts in their eight games. Are they worth backing again on Sunday night at Minnesota?

My other underdog pick was Cleveland +9 over Baltimore. Not only did the Browns cover the spread they won the game outright behind freshly-minted starter Jameis Winston. Two of my favored teams came through when the Niners covered in their 30-24 win over Dallas. I also hit when the Steelers covered the 6.5-point spread in their 26-18 win over the Giants on Monday Night Football. Unfortunately my three-team NFL parlay of favorites was a loser then the Jets were upset at New England on Sunday. The Jets are 0-5 SU and ATS in their last five outings and opened as a 2-point home favorite against Houston on Thursday night.

NFL Week 9 Parlay Card Underdogs

Texans +2 at NY Jets

Cowboys +2.5 at Falcons

Broncos +9.5 at Ravens

I’m going to up the ante a bit in Week 9 with three-team NFL parlays in each category. As I usually do starting with the underdogs I have to back Houston in its matchup with the Jets. The issues run much deeper for Aaron Rodgers and his group. Closing as a 7-point favorite in last week’s matchup with the ‘soft’ Patriots, New York again stumbled. I had faith in the Jets that they would turn things around, but they’ve had difficult losses to the Broncos as an 8.5-point favorite and last week’s collapse laying 7-points. I’ll back the visitors and the points in this one.

I’ve given up on the Jets but there’s still hope for Dallas. For one their franchise quarterback is much younger than Rodgers and there were several games where the defense played well. Overall, though, it’s been a rough few weeks with losses to NFC favorites sandwiched around a bye. There isn’t much to indicate the team will turn things around but this club won 12 games a season ago and has talent to be better than a game under .500. I’m giving them another chance playing a hunch and taking the 2.5-points.

The Ravens may be one of the best teams in the AFC but they’ve proven to be a bust when favored by a lot of points. I was a little surprised to see the line at -9.5 after Baltimore was stunned in Cleveland. And the Broncos are quietly playing good football winning two straight and climbing over .500. Twice when favored by at least 7-points the Ravens lost outright while the Broncos have covered in five of their last six games.

NFL Week 9 Parlay Card Favorites

Lions -3.5 at Packers

LA Rams -1.5 at Seahawks

Commanders -3.5 at NY Giants

Facing the Lions with a healthy Jordan Love would be difficult but with the Packers QB hampered by a groin injury I have no issue backing the visitors minus the 3.5-points. Detroit showed off its impressive roster last week scoring 52 points with the offense amassing just 255 yards. The D forced four turnovers setting up short fields and special teams was a key factor. The Lions are 5-0 SU and ATS in their last five games while averaging 43 points in their last four outings.

Injuries to key players can be devastating. Getting players back after missing time can have the opposite effect. The Rams got receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua back in the lineup last week and Matthew Stafford tossed four TD passes in a win over the Vikings, LA’s second straight triumph. It also created a massive logjam atop the NFC West with Seattle, Arizona and Frisco all 4-4 and the Rams at 3-4. LA’s been decent on defense and return of playmakers elevated Stafford and the offense. It’s a tough environment but the Seahawks are showing who they really are, which is why I’m backing the visitors.

Washington laying 3.5-points to the Giants seems like a gift. Jayden Daniels made a remarkable recovery to lead his team to a victory last week and he should be even stronger against a team that can’t score. The Commanders appear better off than they were in an earlier win over the Giants and New York isn’t.
