Eight Rings has posted two wins in those three starts with the biggest one being in the grade one American Pharoah Stakes which is part of the Breeders Cup Challenge Series. Of great concern was a disappointing seventh place finish in the grade one Del Mar Futurity at Del Mar.
Maxfield
Godolphin owned Maxfield is trained by Brendan P. Walsh with Jose Ortiz expected to get the ride. In two career starts Maxfield has already totaled over $340,000 in winnings with wins in both races. His biggest win was in the Breeders Cup Challenge Series grade one Breeders Futurity at Keeneland. For gamblers in search of quality value Maxfield may merit serious consideration.
Wrecking Crew
Peter Miller trained Wrecking Crew is to be mounted by Abel Cedillo. In three starts Wrecking Crew has earned over $136,000 with a win and two places. His last time out was a second-place finish in the grade one Runhappy Del Mar Futurity.
American Theorem
Jockey Tiago Pereira and trainer George Papaprodromou head the marquee for American Theorem who was sired by the famed 2015 Triple Crown and Breeders Cup Classic champion American Pharoah. Owner Rustin Kretz was thrilled to purchase this horse for what he called a “steal.” Kretz was a huge American Pharoah fan and bought this horse with the idea of winning the Kentucky Derby. In two starts American Theorem has one win with $96,000 in earnings. His last start was a second-place finish in the grade one American Pharoah Stakes.
Shoplifted
With trainer Steven M. Asmussen, Shoplifted will garner respect. Jockey Joel Rosario will be another draw for gamblers. Shoplifted has over $125,000 in career earnings.
