LIV Golf heads to Illinois this week for the LIV Golf Chicago event that takes place from Friday, September 13 through Sunday, September 15. It is the last regular season event for the 2024 LIV Golf season. Jon Rahm is listed as the favorite at odds of +500. Right behind Rahm are Bryson DeChambeau at odds of +700, Tyrrell Hatton at +800 and Joaquin Niemann at +900. The 13th event of the 14-event LIV Golf season, LIV Golf Chicago is held at Bolingbrook Golf Club in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Last year’s LIV Golf Chicago event was held at Rich Harvest Farms and it was Bryson DeChambeau winning the individual title. The LIV Golf Chicago tournament will be the last one in the regular season and it will determine the Individual Champion. Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann are the only two players who can win the 2024 Individual Championship, as Rahm leads Nieman by 2.97 points. Rahm has one win this season and has finished in the Top 10 in 10 of the 11 events, while Niemann won two of the season’s first three tournaments. Niemann held the points leader all season until Rahm passed him after the Greenbrier event. The seeding for the Dallas Team Championship event next week will also be determined in Illinois with the top three teams in points getting first-round byes. Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC leads the team standings. The LIV Golf Chicago event will be a 54-hole event with normal scoring and no cut and also include team play. The purse for this event is $25 million with a $20 million dollar purse for the individual players and $5 million for team play. The individual winner gets $4 million dollars, while the winning team shares $3 million. Jon Rahm is listed as the LIV Golf betting favorite to win this event at odds of +500, followed by DeChambeau at odds of +700.
