LIV Golf returns for their fourth season in 2025 with a total of 14 tournaments, six in the United States and nine in other countries. The 2025 LIV Golf schedule will have a new site for the season-ending team championship event in Michigan and will include a return to Trump National Doral Golf Course in Florida. "Our global calendar continues to expand with a focus on playing the very best golf courses and delivering a unique and memorable experience for fans," Ross Hallett, LIV Golf's executive vice president and head of events, said to the media, "We have a strong blend of historic venues rich with tradition, and contemporary clubs establishing new traditions of their own, and this season will be another incredible showcase for the LIV Golf League, our teams, and our players." The team championship in 2025 will be held at The Cardinal at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan from August 22-24. Ripper GC is the defending team champion, while Jon Rahm is the defending individual champion. The 2025 LIV Golf season begins with LIV Golf Riyadh in Saudi Arabia from February 6-8.

The 2025 LIV Golf League will feature a total of 14 tournaments that are 54 holes in length. The tournaments feature a total of 54 players and no cut. There have been some player movement on the various teams. The two free agent players who have yet to be signed are Eugenio Chacarra and Pat Perez, while Hudson Swafford and Laurie Canter are also out of LIV Golf. Players who were relegated and who will have to work their way back into the league through LIV Golf Promotions events are Branden Grace, Bubba Watson, Kalle Samooja, Kieran Vincent and Scott Vincent. The one promoted player for this season is Lee Chieh-po from the Asian Tour and other newly signed players are Ben Campbell, Jang Yu-bin, Frederik Kjettrup and Luis Masaveu. There will be two reserve players this season, as John Catlin and Ollie Schnierderjans will be reserves in case of withdrawals or other absences.

The 2025 LIV Golf season begins on February 6th at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia. That event will be followed by The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, Australia the following week. The tournaments in March will take place in Hong Kong and Singapore. International events will take place in Mexico City in late April, South Korea in early May, Spain in mid-July and England in late July.

LIV Golf will be shown in the United States on Saturdays and Sundays on The CW, The CW App and LIV Golf Plus. Friday’s rounds will be shown on The CW App and LIV Golf Plus. LIV Golf tournaments are carried globally on LIV Golf Plus, the LIV Golf YouTube channel and other international broadcast partners.

LIV Format

Each of the tournaments will be a 54-hole event and will include 54 players with no cuts. All of the players will start at the same time, but they will start on a different hole. The event will also include a team format with the players divided into 13 groups of four players each. The team event is scored with the best two scores of the teams counting, while in the final round the best three scores of each team will count. The team with the lowest score after 54 holes will win.

LIV Golf in 2025 will include some of the world’s top players including Jon Rahm. Also in LIV Golf, will be 2023 Individual Champion Talor Gooch, 2020 and 2024 U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau, 2022 Open Champion Cameron Smith five-time major champion Brooks Koepka, six-time major winner and World Golf Hall of Famer Phil Mickelson and two-time major winner Dustin Johnson.

Big Money

The LIV Golf Tour is financed by Saudi investors and they are putting up huge money each week in terms of prize pools for a total of 14 events in addition to 11 International Series events. It is expected that each regular season event will have a prize purse of $25 million dollars with 4 million going to the first-place finisher. The last place finisher in the event will still collect $120,000. There is $5 million going to the top three teams with first place paying $3 million, second place 1.5 million and a half million for third place. The season champion will take home $18 million dollars. Second place pays $8 million, while third place pays $4 million. There will be a season-ending Team Championship event that will have a total prize pool of $50 million dollars where all 13 teams get a cut of the prize pool.
