The 2025 PGA Tour season begins in early January with The Sentry and continues through the FedExCup Playoffs which begin in early August. The 2025 FedExCup regular season schedule will have 39 events that include the four majors, eight Signature Events and the FedExCup Playoffs. The 2025 FedExCup Playoffs will have the normal three events, concluding with the TOUR Championship in late August. The PGA Tour schedule features action in 18 U.S. states and will also include action in Canada, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

Golf’s four majors begin with the Masters in early April at Augusta. The PGA Championship returns to Quail Hollow in 2025 in mid-May. That will mean the Truist Championship, normally held at Quail Hollow will move to the Philadelphia Cricket Club for this year. The U.S. Open will take place at Oakmont Country Club over Father’s Day weekend in June. Oakmont is considered one of the toughest golf courses in the world so this year’s U.S. Open should be interesting. The 148th Open Championship will take place at on the Dunluce Links at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland in late July. Shane Lowry won at Portrush in 2019.

The first event of the 2025 calendar year is the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii. The tournament used to be for golfers who won at least one PGA Tour event in the previous calendar year, but now the field also includes players who finished in the Top 50 in last year’s FedExCup points list. The Sentry Tournament of Champions takes place at Kapalua Resort in Maui, with Chris Kirk the defending champion. Some of the top players in the field include World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas and Billy Horschel. Scheffler won seven PGA Tour titles in 2024 and he will be listed as the golf betting favorite in this event. The tournament will be the first of eight Signature Events during the 2025 season. The eight Signature Events are The Sentry, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, The Genesis Invitational, Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, RBC Heritage, Truist Championship, the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday and the Travelers Championship. The three FedExCup Playoff events are the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the BMW Championship and the TOUR Championship. Following the TOUR Championship, the 2025 FedExCup Fall Schedule will begin and that will finalize top 125 eligibility for the 2026 season.
