ODDS ANALYSISAfter getting swept on the road by the Yankees, the Royals continue their road trip with their first visit to Wrigley Field since 2001. The Cubs meanwhile have lost two of three games in each of their last two series and venture into interleague play for the first time in attempt to get back on track.... 

The Chicago White Sox (20-24 SU, -5.84 Units) are very likely to have a battered and bruised up pitching staff by the time they reach Sunday's clash against the Houston Astros (30-18 SU, +12.45 Units).... 

ODDS ANALYSISFollowing a stretch of six wins in seven games the Diamondbacks ran into a buzz saw in the St. Louis Cardinals, getting swept in three games to start their six-game road trip. They look for more success when they take on the Brewers, who were swept by the Giants, falling for the fifth straight time with Wednesday’s 3-1 loss.... 

The Detroit Tigers (28-20 SU, +5.46 Units) have had absolutely no luck against the Los Angeles Angels (23-24 SU, -4.18 Units), losing 13 of their last 16 games against them. The men from Motown will look to break that skid on Sunday night in Anaheim.... 

It has been 14 years since the Kansas City Royals (28-18 SU, +9.24 Units) paid a visit to Wrigley Field. Saturday will mark the middle game of the first three-game set between KC and the Chicago Cubs (25-21 SU, +1.47 Units) played in the Windy City since 2001.... 

ODDS ANALYSIS The Texas Rangers return home following a successful road trip to take on the slumping Boston Red Sox in a four-game weekend set. The Rangers won seven of nine on their journey and look to improve on their MLB-low home win total.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe top two teams in the National League meet for a three-game set when the West leading Dodgers visit the Central front-running Cardinals. The Dodgers are in search of some payback after getting bounced from the postseason by St. Louis in each of the last two seasons.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Chicago White Sox and Baltimore Orioles will make up games postponed from April because of the riots in downtown Baltimore with a doubleheader on Thursday. Chicago’s only scheduled visit to Baltimore was interrupted by public unrest and games that were to be played Apr. 27 and 28 were postponed. The teams will play a traditional single-admission twin-bill to make up the games.... 

Thursday is an off day for a good chunk of baseball, and it was scheduled to be that way for the Baltimore Orioles (20-22 SU, -2.70 Units) and the Chicago White Sox (19-23 SU, -6.00 Units) as well. That said, after the riots in Baltimore in April, these teams needed to find time to run through a pair of makeup games. The first of those games will be held on Thursday to kick off a double dip.... 

The Boston Red Sox ( 21-24, -$698 ) and Texas Rangers ( 22-23, $670 ) are not too far apart in terms of overall record, but the two teams meet on Thursday while going in opposite directions.The Red Sox started off relatively strong, but have lost 14 of 23 since the start of May while the Rangers have had a good month, going 15-9.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Tigers conceded Monday’s game sitting Miguel Cabrera and Jose Iglesias. Cabrera is a top hitter in the American League and has destroyed Oakland pitching so the A’s caught a break. The Tigers were shutout on four hits playing under the total for the third straight road game and the under is 7-3 in Detroit’s last 10 on the road. The Tigers have leveled off on the field and at the betting window. They’ve dropped below the Twins in the Central Division standings losing six of nine in the red 4.22 units on the moneyline in that span. They are still 3.13 units in the black for the season.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Colorado Rockies appear to be in the midst of at least a modest turnaround, winning their third straight game Monday in the series opener and for the fourth time in six games. The Rockies scored 7.3 runs while hitting .321 during the streak with both losses coming after they scored eight runs in each. The over is 5-1 during that span and 13-9 on the road with the Rockies being a solid over play all season at 24-18-1. Colorado is up 2.51 units on the moneyline during their six-game stretch but for the year they are in the red 4.99 units.... 

ODDS ANALYSISA two-game winning streak was too much for the Miami Marlins to handle. After breaking an eight-game losing skid with a win over Baltimore Saturday, the Marlins made it two straight Sunday, winning consecutive games for the first time since the beginning of May. The Marlins played all 10 of those games as the favorite at home and were probably happy to get out of town. The Marlins fell 10 games under .500 with Monday’s loss at Pittsburgh – five games under both at home and on the road – and are in the red 12.63 units on the moneyline and 14.93 units on the runline this season.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Washington Nationals had their six-game win streak snapped Saturday but bounced back with a win Sunday over the Phillies for their eighth consecutive series victory. A string of 13 wins in 15 games catapulted the Nats into the top spot in the NL East, a position many expected this team to be in. The win streak started when the Nats took the final three of a four-game set at San Diego wrapping up a 5-2 road trip that improved their away record to 12-11. The Nats are a strong play on the over going 15-7-1 on the road and have cashed the over in four of Jordan Zimmerman’s last five starts while winning them all.... 

Offensive problems have been following the Chicago Cubs (24-19 SU, +2.61 Units) of late, and they might have their issues continue when Jordan Zimmerman takes the mound for the Washington Nationals (26-18 SU, +3.23 Units) takes the ball on Tuesday night.... 

Fantasy baseball players and live bettors alike have really been scratching their heads about Clayton Kershaw.
He's the one man on this Los Angeles Dodgers (26-17 SU, +1.37 Units) team which just hasn't lived up to the hype this season. The defending Cy Young champ will have another shot to get back on track Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves (22-21 SU, +3.39 Units).... 

The Washington Nationals ( 26-18, $323 ) are finally surging as they are atop the NL East and have begun dominating opponents. Playing the Phillies and a struggling Padres team is different than another strong team, however, and they will be tested this week against the Chicago Cubs ( 24-19, $279 ) as they meet in a three game set ending on Wednesday.... 

The St. Louis Cardinals ( 28-17, $1,048 ) snapped their three game losing streak on Sunday prior to their three game set at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks ( 21-22, $142 ). They will look to try and close out another series finale victory—this time against the D’backs—on Wednesday.... 

The Houston Astros ( 29-16, $1,346 ) head east looking to remain atop of their division as they take on a Baltimore Orioles ( 19-22, -$372 ) struggling for consistency as they continue to try and right the ship in the lackluster AL East.... 

ODDS ANALYSISAfter completing a 4-2 homestand with a pair of wins over Milwaukee, the Atlanta Braves make their first trip west with the second game of a 10-game road trip. The Braves have been a pleasant surprise through the first quarter of the season playing .500 baseball in the black 3.39 units on the moneyline. Atlanta enters the series with a 10-11 road record following a three-game sweep at Miami to end a 4-5 nine-game trip from May 8-17. The Braves are a strong play on the over at 25-16-2 and the over is 7-2 in Julio Teheran’s nine starts.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Tigers kick off a seven-game California road trip with the first of three games against the Athletics. Both teams have a heavy travel load to get here with the Tigers completing a weekend set at home against the Astros and the A’s flying back from Tampa after a seven-game road trip.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe battle of Missouri was pretty one-sided for most of the last decade, but the Kansas City Royals are finally a team capable of hanging with the St. Louis Cardinals. The teams meet in the finale of a three-game set Sunday....

Texas yielded only seven runs during a 3-1 stretch, which began Sunday with a 5-1 win over Cleveland to close out a homestand, and the under is 4-0 in those games. The Rangers have been much stronger on the road with two straight victories at Boston putting them at 6-3 in their last nine away games and up 7.43 units on the moneyline in that span. Overall the Rangers are in the black 0.73 units on the moneyline and in the red 1.91 units on the runline.... 

ODDS ANALYSISLocated in different countries, separated by 2,500 miles and playing in different divisions, the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays will always be linked in baseball history. The clubs that joined MLB together back in 1977 meet for the first time this season.... 

ODDS ANALYSISIf the Rangers could play all their games on the road they would project to 88 wins this season, which might be enough to capture a wild card spot or even the AL West. Unfortunately they have to play half their games at home and that hasn’t been good for them. The Rangers improved to 12-10 in away games this season by taking the final two of a three-game set at Boston to start a nine-game road trip. They look to continue that success in Yankee Stadium, which has been a house of horrors for them over the last few seasons. But Texas has been a strong road team moving to 6-3 in their last nine following Thursday’s win, up 7.43 units on the moneyline in that span. Overall the Rangers are in the black 0.73 units on the moneyline and in the red 1.91 units on the runline....
