Following a 3-6 start the Yanks got going by sweeping the Rays in Florida in a three-game set to start a stretch where they won 18 of 25 games. New York’s four-game win streak in Tampa ended Tuesday with a 4-2 setback but the Yanks are still up 3.59 units in the five games and 7.97 units for the season. Tuesday’s game was the first of five to finish under the total with the over going 17-14-3 in the Yankees’ 34 games....
ODDS ANALYSISAlthough they’re off to their best start since their last AL Central title five years ago, the surprising Twins haven’t been able to solve the team that has won the past four division crowns. The Twins lost for the sixth time in seven games against Detroit with Tuesday’s 2-1 10-inning setback and have been outscored 24-2 in four games at Comerica Park with the under at 3-1. The Twins are a good bet this season in the black 6.59 units, but sometimes there’s a team that just has your number and for the Twins that team is Detroit. Minnesota is down 4.82 units in its seven games versus the Tigers and has been outscored 41-16....
ODDS ANALYSISAfter taking six of seven games last season from the Phillies, the Pirates are at it again, winning the first two of a four-game set and extending their win streak to four following Tuesday’s 7-2 victory. A trip to Citizens Bank Park is just what the Buccos need to jumpstart their season, building off a series win over division-leading St. Louis over the weekend. Pittsburgh has won 10 of the last 12 meetings at Philadelphia averaging five runs. Showing signs of an awakened offensive attack, the over is 4-2 in Pittsburgh’s last six games and the Bucs are in the black 3.9 units....
ODDS ANALYSISThe Giants won 14 of 21 games following an eight-game losing streak had them at 3-9 two weeks into the season. They got back to .500 with a win Sunday over Miami that gave them a 7-3 record on a 10-game homestand. The Giants haven’t been as good on the road but a convincing win at Houston Tuesday got them off to a good start on this quick six-game road trip.
