ODDS ANALYSISThe Angels visit Boston on the final leg of a three city, 10-game road trip looking to continue the mastery they’ve had over the Red Sox in recent years. The Angels won 16 of the last 21, including 10 of 12 in Boston before this series, and swept the four-game set in Fenway Park last season. The Halos won four of seven to start the trip after splitting four games with Toronto following an 8-4 loss Thursday. The Angels are up 1.08 units on the trip while playing in the red 0.89 units for the year. The under is 5-2 on LA’s current trip and 11-3 over the last 14 games while going 22-17-2 for the year.... 

Joe Girardi said earlier in the week that a day off was just what the doctor ordered for the New York Yankees (22-19 SU, +2.54) after playing 30 games in 31 days. Apparently he was wrong. The Bronx Bombers were beaten in both games they played against the Nationals, and they'll look to finally reverse their misfortunes on Monday against the Kansas City Royals (26-14 SU, +11.56 Units).... 

Theoretically, all things are supposed to equal out for baseball teams over the course of the 162-game season. Good teams are supposed to end up rising to the top, while bad teams are supposed to fall to the bottom.... 

The New York Yankees (22-19 SU, +2.54 Units) have desperately looking for ways to get some of their aging veterans some days off. Don't be surprised if you see a lot of men not in the fold on Sunday against the Texas Rangers (17-23 SU, -0.96 Units), particularly with a day game coming on Memorial Day to kick off a big series against Kansas City.... 

Both the Kansas City Royals (26-14 SU, +11.56 Units) and the St. Louis Cardinals (27-14 SU, +11.30 Units) have been very kind to bettors this year. These two teams have combined to earn their backers 22.86 units on the moneyline and 30.18 units on the run-line this year. Live betting could feature a ton of great opportunities for both clubs on Saturday.... 

Dominating at home, the Los Angeles Dodgers ( 24-15, $186 ) will host the Atlanta Braves ( 19-20, $136 ) in the first of a three game set on Monday.Los Angeles, while struggling over the last few days, is still one of the league’s best and most balanced teams.... 

A hot streak has elevated the Chicago Cubs ( 22-17, $305 ) to the elite in the National League and they will look to stay there as they finish up their series against San Diego and head to Arizona to take on a Diamondbacks ( 18-21, -$101 ) squad that is hanging around just below .500.... 

The Los Angeles Dodgers ( 24-15, $186 ) have been cruising along atop the NL West, but have hit a bit of a road bump of late, losing five of their last seven games heading into Thursday.The San Diego Padres ( 20-21, -$216 ) will look to take advantage as they get set for a weekend series, including an evening game on Saturday.... 

ODDS ANALYSISAs good as the Dodgers are they’ve had their problems this season in San Francisco, losing for the fifth straight time at ATT Park with a shutout loss Wednesday. They were blanked for the second straight night and have scored just six runs in the five games. The under is 3-0 in LA’s last three games and cashed in each of the last four games between these clubs in SF. Los Angeles is in the red 6.17 units on the moneyline in their five games at ATT Park but in the black 1.86 units on the season. The over is 23-14-2 in LA’s 39 games but just 7-9-1 on the road and facing Madison Bumgarner makes the under a smart play.... 

ODDS ANALYSISWe don’t always associate the Angels with great pitching, but the staff has kept the Halos within striking distance of the Astros in the NL West. The Angels got another solid starting effort Wednesday in a 4-3 win at Toronto, their fourth win in six games on a 10-game road trip putting them up 2.45 units on the moneyline. LA has also won seven of nine following Wednesday’s victory, up 5.45 units in that span, while cashing the under eight times. The Halos are a good bet on the under going 13-3 in their last 16 and 22-16-1 for the season while cashing the under in each of Garrett Richards’ last two starts.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Phillies strung together six straight wins, their longest streak in three years, before falling to the Rockies on Tuesday. A surprising run from a club some predicted would hit triple digits in the loss column this season. However it’s a good idea to shy away from the Phils when they’re on the road where they are just 5-14 following Tuesday’s setback. The Phils were the underdog five times during their win streak and were in the black 6.48 units on the moneyline with the under going 5-1. It was a nice run for the Phils, who are down 3.89 units on the moneyline and 7.2 units on the runline for the year. The over is 6-2-3 in Philadelphia’s last 11 road games and 10-5-4 in away games this season.... 

The New York Yankees (22-18 SU, +3.54 Units) are starting to slide back to earth, as they have lost six of their last seven games heading into Wednesday night. They'll look to stop the bleeding on Thursday when the Texas Rangers (16-23 SU, -2.46 Units) invade the Bronx.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Mariners started a nine-game road trip with a clunker, failing to hold a three-run lead in a 9-4 loss to the Orioles on Tuesday to cash the over, ending a streak of five straight under plays. Seattle has the AL’s top home run hitter in Nelson Cruz and have slugged the second-most homers in the league but the M’s are at the bottom of the rankings in runs scored and the under is 5-1 in their last six and 21-16-1 overall. The Mariners are a poor play at the betting window down 3.13 units on the moneyline in their last six and 8.5 units for the season.... 

ODDS ANALYSISAfter a brutal start to their seven-game road trip the Diamondbacks battled back for a pair of wins to open their series with the Marlins. Arizona was swept in its three-game set at Philadelphia to open the trek down 3.53 units but responded by winning the first two in Miami and are in the red 2.17 units on the moneyline. However, the Dbacks have been a strong play on the runline this season at 22-16 up 4.7 units through their first 38. The teams cashed the under in the first two and Arizona has played below the total in three straight games bringing the under to 17-19-2 for the season.... 

ODDS ANALYSISTwo struggling teams meet in a series for the first time this season when the Texas Rangers visit the Boston Red Sox. The Sox, one of the worst hitting teams in the majors, look to put their light-hitting road trip behind them and break out against a Rangers staff that made significant changes over the weekend.... 

ODDS ANALYSISAt this time last year the Athletics were in first place in the AL West a full 12 games in front of the last place Astros. What a difference a year makes. Oakland enters the series losers in 10 of its last 11 game and is the least profitable team on the moneyline in baseball. Over a just completed six-game homestand, when the A’s won just once, they were down 5.73 units and are in the red 18.11 units for the season. With a win Monday the A’s have taken three of the first four games played this season in Houston with the under cashing in the last three. But the A’s have been a strong play on the over going 27-11-2 in their first 40 games.... 

Wednesday Night Baseball heads to Beantown this week, where the Boston Red Sox (18-20 SU, -4.24 Units) will look to end a terrible offensive slump against the Texas Rangers (16-22 SU, -1.46 Units), who enter the week sporting the third-best money mark for bettors in road games this season.... 

The Boston Red Sox (18-20 SU, -4.24 Units) will be happy to be back at home after a 10-game road trip in which they went 5-5 and averaged just 2.3 runs per game. First up on Tuesday is a date with the Texas Rangers (16-22 SU, -1.46 Units).... 

The Washington Nationals (22-17 SU, +0.60 Units) have won 15 of their last 19 games, and they'll be welcomed back home after a 5-2 West Coast swing by their fans on Tuesday against the New York Yankees (22-17 SU, +4.54 Units).... 

ODDS ANALYSISNational League West rivals meet for the third time this season when the Los Angeles Dodgers visit the San Francisco Giants Tuesday in the first of three games. The Dodgers are looking for a little payback after getting swept in San Francisco Apr. 21-23 scoring two runs in each of the three games. The Dodgers are in the black 4.32 units on the moneyline this season but were down 3.71 units in that series. LA had trouble with Colorado and Miami going 4-3 in a just concluded seven-game homestand against those clubs ending in the red 1.92 units. They did exceed the total in six of the seven games and the over is 8-2 in LA’s last 10 games and 23-12-2 on the season.... 

ODDS ANALYSISThe Cubs ended a successful homestand on a downer with a shutout loss to the Pirates on Sunday, preventing them from a seven-game sweep. That week of games at Wrigley got folks talking again that maybe the Cubbies are a contender in the NL as they were up 4.63 units on the moneyline. They’ll need to improve their play on the road to be taken seriously and a six-game trip starts Tuesday at San Diego. Chicago won just two of nine-games on their previous road trek finishing down 2.97 units and for the season the Cubs are in the black 2.75 units. The under is 5-2-1 in their last eight, however the over was 2-0-1 in a three-game set between these clubs from Apr. 17-19.... 

ODDS ANALYSISTwo of the top teams in the majors meet for an interleague series when the Detroit Tigers visit the St. Louis Cardinals. The teams faced each other in the World Series three times – 1934, 1968 and 2006. Detroit’s had the better of the interleague series winning 19 of 29 matchups entering the weekend set....
