The Florida Gators are coming off the worst possible self-inflicted wound. Last Saturday night the Gators were hosting a down-and-out LSU Tigers team that seemed to have packed it in for the season many weeks ago. Florida was bet up to a 24-point favorite. Yet from the start, the Gators were noticeably off their game and were upset in the shocker of the weekend 37-34. Now Florida has to regroup to face the most terrifying team in the nation. The rampaging Alabama Crimson Tide has bossed the cashier’s cage for seven consecutive payouts and has tightened up defensively after a rough start. Alabama is the overwhelming public choice for both this game and the national championship.

Florida Gators vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Bookmaker Wagering Analysis
Last week damaged Florida badly in the eyes of gamblers. Meanwhile, the oddsmakers have not been able to price out the public on the Crimson Tide.
Florida Not up to Trask In Terrible Loss to LSU
Following last week’s debacle against the LSU Tigers, the Florida Gators are 8-2 straight up, 4-5-1 against the spread, and 6-4 over the total. Florida has national metrics of 8th for total offense, 1st for passing, 100th for rushing, 12th for scoring, And 94th for turnovers. Defensively the Gators are 51st overall, 78th for against the pass, 45th against the rush, 48th for points allowed, and 38th for takeaways. Quarterback Kyle Trask threw an early pick-six that set the tone for the disaster. His Heisman hopes are likely over now.
Tide Rolls into Championship in Brutal Manner
Last week the Alabama Crimson Tide pigged out on the Arkansas Razorbacks in a 52-3 win as 28-point road favorites with the game going under the total of 70.5. As a result, the Crimson Tide is 10-0 straight up, 8-2 against the spread, and 6-4 over the total. Alabama has national metrics of 5th for total offense, 6th for passing, 40th for rushing, 3rd for scoring, and 99th for turnovers. Alabama quarterback Mac Jones is the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. Jones has a 203.9 QB rating with 3321 yards, a 76.4 percent completion rate, 11.7 yards per pass, 27 touchdowns, and just 3 interceptions. Not bad for someone written off as a “game manager.”
If not for Jones, running back Najee Harris would also be a strong Heisman contender. Harris has 1084 yards rushing, 5.9 yards per carry, and 22 touchdowns.
So too would DeVonta Smith make for an understandable Heisman Trophy winner. Smith has 83 catches good for 1327 yards, 16.0 yards per catch, and 15 touchdowns.
Defensive lineman Christian Barmore has a team-leading 6 sacks. While linebacker Will Anderson Jr has 5 sacks and 37 tackles.
Field goal kicking has been a perpetual worry for the Crimson Tide. But Will Reichard is changing that with 11 of 11 on field goals this season.
