XFL Championship Weekend treated us very kindly over at the online sportsbook with the Arlington Renegades pulling the shocker over the Houston Roughnecks as expected and the D.C. Defenders taking care of business against Seattle to take a third straight from the Sea Dragons to put a fork in their season. The 2-0 ATS showing moves us to 5-1 ATS over the last six recommended XFL betting recommendations and 20-21-1 ATS for the season. The XFL Championship Game offers up a rematch of a Week 9 clash that went down in Audi Field where D.C. escaped with the 28-26 overtime win as near 10-point favorites. The combined 54 points smashed the closing 41.5-point O/U with both teams combining for just short of 750 yards and 51 first downs. Both quarterbacks performed exceptionally well while each defense shut both running games down. So is that how the second go-round will play out? The following are my side and total selections for the big game with the hope we cash both and claw over the breakeven point for the 2023 season. ... 

My recent XFL picks stunk the joint up going into Week 10. However, we closed the XFL betting season out with a bang by cashing in at the online sportsbook with three of the four made recommendations. Vegas got out to a 12-0 lead against Houston, while Orlando burst out of the gate with a 14-3 advantage over San Antonio. Neither team ultimately came out a winner with the Vipers losing 28-21 to push against the 7-point spread, while Orlando dropped a 25-23 decision to the Brahmas who made a furious comeback. Sunday’s position on St. Louis never had a shot – the Battlehawks continue to be the death of my XFL bankroll over the last month! The only ticket we ended up cashing was done so only because Arlington rattled off 17 unanswered in D.C. to force overtime where it ultimately fell 28-26 as near 10-point underdogs. The 1-2-1 ATS showing moves us to a season-worst 15-20-1 ATS overall. Fingers crossed we go out with a bang at the online sportsbook with Week 10’s XFL parlay picks! ... 

Last week’s 1-3 ATS showing against the XFL odds made it back-to-back putrid weeks for my parlay picks. Every single loss was worse than the next. It all started with the St. Louis Battlehawks who an hour or so before kick-off let it be known that QB A.J. McCarron would be unavailable and Nick Tiano would be making his first start of the season. St. Louis was lucky to send the game to overtim... 

It was an extremely disappointing showing for last week’s XFL parlay picks after kicking Week 7 off with a ticket cash on Seattle. Though we ended up splitting our four Week 6 selections at the online sportsbook and failed to cash the parlay in, we still made out pretty nicely after Orlando cashed the Best Bet with relative ease in falling to Seattle 26-19 as 9.5-point home dogs. The Guardians were live to pull the outright but endgame mistakes once again reared their ugly head to prevent it from happening. Vegas laid an absolute egg at home against the Battlehawks, while the over in Arlington never had a shot. It was so ba... 

We came the Battlehawks defending their home turf away from sweeping the board with last week’s XFL parlay picks. Winners included the Seattle Sea Dragons who kicked things off by handing the Houston Roughnecks their first defeat of the season. I’m still shocked they received any points in that matchup let alone 3.5! Up next was an easy ticket cash on the over in the Orlando/Vegas matchup. The 35-32 final made a mockery of the 41.5-point spread. My only complaint is that XFL bettors were robbed ... 

We ended up splitting last week’s parlay picks going 0-2 ATS on Saturday and 2-0 ATS on Sunday. I regretted taking the points with Orlando after the Roughnecks got ahead of the 9.5-point spread less than five minutes into the first quarter. I had a feeling I’d lose the over in the San Antonio/Seattle game with the commentators going off about it being the highest total of the season. A total of 21 points hit the board and we got killed. Sunday was much better. Arlington and St. Louis played to a... 

I’ve rued the day I had to sit in front of the computer and recap the massacre that went down with last week’s XFL parlay picks. It all started with my first bad beat of the season in the Week 3 opener between Seattle and Vegas. We backed the Vipers +3 and looked well on our way towards cashing that ticket in for 55+ minutes. But then Ben Dinucci stepped back on a 4th down with no timeouts an... 

We came a 4th quarter field goal in the Brahmas/Guardians tilt away from sweeping our Week 2 XFL parlay picks at the online sportsbook! While the St. Louis/Seattle game should’ve flown over and covered all numbers, we still ended up cashing a ticket due to getting in early. The DC Defenders rumbled their way to an outright win at Vegas to move to 2-0, while the Houston Roughnecks ultimately got the job done against Arlington after coughing up an early double-digit lead by not allowing a single point to the Renegades in the second half. The lone loser proved to be the under in Orlando where a Guardians penalty aided second half touchdown drive and Brahmas blocked punt that led directly to another score cost us dearly. Even so, the combined score just managed to just crawl over the 39.5-point impost. Now 5-3 ATS through two weeks, let’s see if we can’t bust out the broom in Week 3 and nail this 4-teamer! ... 

We had mixed results with last week’s XFL parlay picks in going 2-2 against the spread but did find ourselves in a position to cash all four tickets. The Vegas Vipers got out to a commanding 14-3 halftime lead, but turnovers and the offense going into the tank forced us to need a late game backdoor touchdown to secure the ticket cash. The under looked solid through three quarters in the Orlando/Houston matchup even with the Guardians controversial opening drive touchdown, but then variance and turnovers reared its ugly head to bust the position in the 4Q. The football gods giveth and taketh with Sunday’s picks on the Battlehawks and Sea Dragons. We had no business cashing in with St. Louis in that miraculous comeback win, but also had no business losing with Seattle who outgained DC by over 150 yards. With more info to dissect both from statistical and philosophical standpoints, let’s see if we can’t cash that 4-teamer in Week 2 XFL betting! ...

The reincarnation of the XFL has had a troubled start to say the least. Not only has it had to compete against the new USFL and the AAF, but we have only had five weeks of games since the league was announced in January 2018. The league began play on February 8, 2020, but the season was suspended in mid-March due to the COVID pandemic, and the league underwent some organizational changed that pushed back play to 2023. Finally, the XFL is set to take the field again, and the action will start the week after Super Bowl LVII on February 18, 2023. ...
