Last weekend was just a tease with No. 8 Florida squeaking by Miami in less than spectacular fashion. Thursday night kicks off the full Week 1 college football schedule with the 24 other teams ranked among the top 25 in action. Clemson begins its quest for a second straight national championship when the top-ranked Tigers host Georgia Tech on Thursday in an early-season ACC tilt. Led by Heisman Trophy contender Trevor Lawrence, the Tigers are currently a 36-point favorite at top online sportsbooks, the highest line for any top-25 team in action this weekend.
There is one top-25 matchup on the slate and that pits No. 11 Oregon against No. 16 Auburn from Jerry’s World in primetime on Saturday. Not surprisingly this contest has the lowest college football betting line of any featuring ranked teams. Auburn opened as a 2.5-point favorite and the number has been waged to -3. Two other games are considered to be “close” by oddsmakers with each featuring a spread of less than a touchdown. No. 14 Utah is laying 5.5-points to Holy War rival BYU while No. 25 Stanford is a 6-point favorite at home against Northwestern.
Here is the top-25 schedule and odds for Week 1 of the college football season. BookMaker.eu will have spreads and totals for every game throughout the 2019 season.

There are a couple of gimmes out there with four top-25 teams going against a lesser FCS foe. Lines for those games are out there with some top college football sportsbooks offering them. No. 13 Washington hosts Eastern Washington from the Big Sky Conference on Saturday. The Eagles are a FCS powerhouse and boast a win over Washington State as a 27.5-point dog in 2016. They also reached the FCS title game last year.
No. 11 Oregon vs. No. 16 Auburn ( -3. 55.5 )
While everyone is anxious to see how Clemson and Alabama stack up in their openers, the game with the most on the line takes place at ATT Stadium in the only matchup of ranked teams on the Week 1 schedule. The Ducks got a gift when stud quarterback Justin Herbert elected to return for another season, and his presence gives OU a clear advantage at the position. Auburn has elected to start true freshman Bo Nix. Movement on the college football betting line has been subtle with the Tigers currently favored by a field goal. Even if the spread moves in Oregon’s favor, I like the Ducks.
Georgia Tech at No. 1 Clemson ( -36, 59.5 )
This game is tricky simply because Clemson will likely use a number of players on its roster if things go as expected. The key is can Lawrence and Travis Etienne do enough to cover the spread before exiting. Considering Tech is transitioning away from its option attack under new coach Geoff Collins, they might find it difficult to reach the endzone, giving Clemson the edge on a line that was wagered up 3-points.
