The college football season is coming down to its final few games, and the oddsmakers have a pretty good handle on most of the teams. However, there are always some lines that open at the wrong number and the wise guys are quick to jump in on the action in search of a profit. Odds Analysis
The Akron Zips are in the middle of a rough season, as they are 0-9 on the year. They are home next time out against Eastern Michigan and opened as 14.5-point underdogs. That wasn’t high enough for the betting public, as the money poured in against Akron to lift the spread all the way up to 17 points, which is where it currently stands. The scoring total has also dropped by four points from 49 to 45 after more than 80 percent of the action pounded the “under” in this one.
Another small-conference game that has seen significant movement is the contest between SUNY-Buffalo and Kent State. SUNY-Buffalo opened as the 1.5-point favorite and that has ballooned all the way to six points. More than 90 percent of the spread money and 75 percent of the moneyline wagers have taken SUNY-Buffalo to cover.
The Penn State Nittany Lions will aim to bounce back against the Indiana Hoosiers. The spread has remained steady as Penn State is a two-touchdown favorite, but the scoring total has seen some movement. The total began at 51 points and now it is up to 54.5 points as the public believes this one will be higher scoring than the oddsmakers originally expected.
Another Big Ten game that has seen an increased scoring total is the matchup between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. The total in this one began at 55 points and now it is all the way up to 61.
Notre Dame has a big game this week at home against Navy. Both teams have put together solid season, and there is some momentum behind the Midshipmen. Navy opened as the 11-point underdogs but now that is down to nine. That could be a big deal because a decent amount of games are decided by 10 points.
Arizona State has struggled of late but the betting public likes the Sun Devils this week. They were a pick ‘em on the road against Oregon State to open up but have now moved to three-point favorites.

There has been a lot of interesting movement this week, but there is one spread that stands out among the rest. The Oregon Ducks have looked like one of the best teams in the country of late and have an easy matchup next time out against the Arizona Wildcats.
Oregon should have no problem whatsoever dominating in this one, and nearly 90 percent of the money is on the Ducks to cover the spread. That heavy action has moved the spread up from 24.5 points to 27, and while that seems like a lot, Oregon should absolutely dominate. The Ducks are going to rout Arizona and cover this ever-rising spread.
