Week 13 includes a Southeastern Conference Thanksgiving night rivalry showdown of two teams that have had disappointing seasons in different ways. The Ole Miss Rebels surprised many observers early in the year as they were carried by one of the most prolific offenses in the land. But the other side of the line has been rendered utterly helpless. The Mississippi State Bulldogs were a trendy dark horse pick in the SEC West Division but stubbed their toe after a hot start. The Bulldogs offense was supposed to be a strength but has instead it has turned into a liability.

Mississippi State’s strength is a defense that ranks second in the country for points allowed. Offsetting that is a sluggish offense that ranks 69th in the nation overall.

Eight of Hail State’s last 12 games as a road dog have gone under the total.
